Tell the Democrat Governors that “Mutiny On The Bounty” was one of my all time favorite movies. A good old fashioned mutiny every now and then is an exciting and invigorating thing to watch, especially when the mutineers need so much from the Captain. Too easy!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 14, 2020

Man, couldn’t ask for anything more... well, if he fired Fauci that would be great as well.

Funny but as Trump supporter I do have to say the constitution is clear on this, The Tenth Amendment declares, “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.” In other words, states have all powers not granted to the federal government by the Constitution and that includes commerce and the states can give guidelines on opening up and not Feds-is this not the case?

It doesn’t matter. He allowed the state’s to make the decision on closing, if he would order the economy open and anyone died every one of those democrat governors would blame him along with the media right into the election. He watched the presser with Cuomo and the other 2 governors and he shrugged and he just tossed it right into their laps. Later he can say I was willing to take responsibility but all you guys insisted........

... are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.

He's focusing on the "or to the people" part here. It may be time for a good, old-fashioned insurrection against the little tin-pot dictators.

Why is he saying that the governors can’t make decisions on reopening their states when his position up until now has been that they were in charge?

I don’t know, what you say makes sense. But there are thousands of federal mandates on states which are followed.

I am sure the Federal government can not directly compel a state to do anything, but can withhold funds in response. All states generally toe the line to any and all federal mandates with few exceptions. But I am a State’s Rights person myself and in an ideal world the states would have a lot more freedom, but honestly they don’t.
