I have been there numerous times. I used to go there when it was Metropolitan Stadium. I used to go to Met Center to watch North Stars games.
My friends and I would shoot model rockets in the crater of the demolished stadium.
My dad delivered the steel from LeJeune Steel to the site when they built the mall. He was one of the only drivers certified to haul the roof beams which were over 100 feet long.
I was in the mall during construction, before it opened.
I went many times before there were any Somali immigrants in Minnesota.
