A non-profit global science and security group says in a new report that Iran has built a plant to produce nuclear weapons despite its insistence that all its atomic endeavors are wholly peaceful.
The Washington, D.C.-based Institute for Science and International Security said the 30-page report is based on documents from the Iran Nuclear Archive that were seized by Israel two years ago.
The analysis, posted Wednesday, said Tehran has "clearly" been dishonest with the International Atomic Energy Agency, which relies on government cooperation and onsite inspections. "Iran should declare this site to the International Atomic Energy Agency and allow its inspection, since the facility was designed and built to handle nuclear material subject to safeguards under Iran's comprehensive safeguards agreement," wrote scientists David Albright, Sarah Burkhard and Frank Pabian. The report says Iran created the Shahid Mahallati Uranium Metals Workshop, near Tehran, to research and develop uranium metallurgy related to building nuclear weapons -- particularly components for weapons-grade uranium, the key explosive material in Iranian nuclear weapon cores.
The group said Iran told the IAEA more than four years ago it hadn't done any metallurgical work intended for nuclear weaponry and wasn't willing to discuss any similar activities "that did not have such an application."

WUT?! Butt, butt, butt................
You don’t say........
While neocons have been rooting for more wars in the middle east - this time against Iran and Syria — they’ve let our real threat - the communist part of China - grow fat happy and more dangerous.
Now, the virus that China lied about has cratered our economy - far more damage than we’ve suffered from any of the middle east countries that the neocons obsessively rant about.
(Notice that Saudi Arabia gets a pass from the neocons. It’s just as tyrannical as Iran, but hey no problem, for some reason)
I wonder what happened to that poor guy who tried to give Hans Blix info about what SoDamn Hinsane was doing?
Idiot Blix ignored him, and then later explained it was because he was not approached ‘elegantly’
“Yes, let’s go to war against Iran! That make a LOT of sense!” (Said people who learned nothing from our disastrous war against Iraq - and who haven’t noticed that it’s China that has destroyed economy right now, in real time)
Idiot Blix ignored him
Blix told Bush he couldn’t find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Idiot Bush ignored him and launched what Trump has called the stupidest foreign policy move in American history, the invasion of Iraq.
Blix deserves a medal for trying to get Bush to reconsider.
Obama and John F’n Kerry were willfully ignorant about Iran’s credibility and intentions.
They should be hung for treason
And guess who gave Iran the money along with the command....Carry On!!
Blix told Bush that the only way he could find them is if they took him to them.
President Trump was absolutely correct when he pulled out of the Iran nuclear deal. Obama and Kerry made a horrible deal that they should have known would never be honored by Iran. In fact, they almost certainly knew Iran would never uphold their end and they figured a President Clinton would keep the charade up. What they didn’t figure on was a President Trump.
The invasion of Iraq was not a stupid policy move.
Pausing the war in 1991 when it was only partially accomplished and leaving that war on hold for nearly a decade? That was stupid. G.W. didn’t initiate any war, and it would be Marie Harf level stupidity to assert that he did unless you have a copy of a Senate Ratification of a previous armistice with Iraq which somehow didn’t get put in the national archives.
So, Iran lied about their nuclear program, turns out it was part of a weapons program not just power... I really need a recording of my buddy from Brooklyn yelling "Ya think!" in his heavy accent.
The only ones who pretended to believe them were the Kenyanesian Usurper and his minions.
Trump hits Bush: Invading Iraq ‘the single worst decision ever made’
“That was Bush. Another real genius. That was Bush,” Trump joked. “That turned out to be wonderful intelligence. Great intelligence agency there.”
Trump has repeatedly attacked the U.S. intelligence community, once pointing to its faulty assessment that the government of former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction as evidence of its unreliability.
