#6. First, this is a great article by the author. He belongs to a school of thought too often discarded or disregarded by our DOD/military and politicians/Administrations, namely “If you think that something can’t happen, it will” or “If your enemy says that they will destroy/bury you, they sure as hell as planning on doing it or at least trying with good odds to win”.
The late Dr. Fred Schwarz, a noted anti-communist doctor turned ideological activist (he was controversial but some of his observations in the 50’s/60’s about communism were dead on).
He wrote a book entitled “You Can Trust the Communists to Be Communists”. Forget the text. It is all in the “title”.
Communism, like the Taqquiya of Islam, allows its followers to “use any tactic, tell any lie, do anything” to promote the victory of their cause(s).
Germ warfare - No problem. Cheap, effective, devastating to an unprepared enemy.
My father worked for the Chemical Warfare Service in WW II, US Army, Edgewood Arsenal/Aberdeen Proving Ground on the 4.2 CM (Chemical Mortar), WP (White Phosphorus - Willie Peter), a weapon that helped break the Nazi’s border defenses and led to the invasion of Germany from the West.
He also worked with Gas Masks. One of his uncles was gassed in WW I. The Japanese had cyanic gas grenades and shells on some of their Pacific Islands (Those records are in the National Archives, College Park, Md., RG 175 - Chemical Warfare Service, where I do a lot of my research for U.S. Govt. chemical production cases for the re superfund cleanup litigation cases).
The Nazis had poison gas, if only the horrible Zyklon B used in concentration camps “showers”.
The lessons of WW I trench warfare were not lost on actual and future aggressors (Germany, Italy, Japan, Soviet Union/Russia).
If biological weapons will give Red China an advantage in any conflict with the Free World, esp. America, England, and Germany, Japan, Philippines, Taiwan, etc), the Communists will use it. They have at least 1.3 - 1.5+ million people. They can afford to lose half of them and still come out a world-war winner.
There was a famous line in the movie “Red Dawn” by Booths Powers about Red China joining the US in the war with Russia/Nicaragua, etc. re the invasion of the U.S. and other parts of the world. When Patrick Swayze inquired about any of our allies helping to repel the invasions, Powers mentioned “the 600 million Chinese” but that they still were fighting against the Soviet Axis.
I think a lot of moviegoers missed this little line but it is very important. Chinese lives are expendable to the communist tyrants. The only thing that matters is power, superior power, and victory at any cost.
As Dr. Schwarz wrote: “You Can Trust the Communists to Be Communists” and that means, as the author of this article pointedly states, you must be prepared for anything from your enemies, no matter how outlandish and farfetched it might seem.
The US did not believe Billy Mitchell on the use of aircraft against ships, the early writings of Hitler, Mussolini and Tojo et al. about “Greater” spheres of influence and power and conquest, or Ho Chi Minh/Gen. Giap/Le Duan about waging an aggressive war of “unity” over Southeast Asia despite the cost to their peoples.
“Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it”.
Remember Pearl Harbor, Khobar Towers, the USS Cole, the Beirut Airport Marine Barracks, WTC bombings I and the airplane attacks of 9/11 (II).
There were warnings form reliable and credible people but we said “It couldn’t happen here” and looked away. After almost half a million dead Americans, isn’t it about time that we began to listen to those who have noticed “warning signs” that others have missed (such as the two FBI field agents who noticed that Saudi flying students - future hijackers in the US were only interested in getting the planes off the ground, not landing -New Mexico and possibly So. Dakota field offices).
Sometimes you only get one warning. I was once warned about an ambush being planned against me for undercover work I did for the government. I wisely took the intel persons advice and DID NOT SHOW UP at the conference. I’m still here today. It pays to LISTEN to others whose life work has been to look for those “warning signs” of trouble to come.
The late, great DHS officer Phil Haney was one such person. He passed away a few months ago, too often ignored by the intelligence establishment, but basically correct in his prescient warnings about Islamic and communist threats to America.
As the song asks, “When Will We Ever Learn?”. I hope it is NOT before it is TOO LATE.
