Look at other parliamentarian governments through out history. Germany under the Wiemar Regime, Japan prior to WW2, Franco’s Spain, Fascist Italy and numerous Central and South American governments.

Because otherwise Sheila gibs-me-dat Jackson Lee would be unintelligible on her best days-— even when she was slipping a cash envelope to the “pro-bono” lawyer weenie for Christine Blahze-Ford (the “Dr” of round healed late whining of false accusation— for hire) at her Senate hearing. Or better-— when she is sitting her fata@@ in a booted out first class passengers paid seat-— just cause she be who she thinks is ==im-poh-tent.

She nohmally be like dis “Not Today” (perfectly understandable to 8th generation Southern US natives 32 secs (transcript available not from Col Vindmann):

Quite. That suggests that failure lies in specific local causes, rather than being inevitable with the structure. There are plenty of other successful parliaments which have never descended to dictatorship - Israel, for instance, or most of the ‘Old Commonwealth’ nations where legislatures are based on the Westminster model (Australia, New Zealand etc). Just as there are successful and unsuccessful republics.

And if it turns out he was infected by China via their tainted tests? Even worse situation.

At least President Trump is not a smoker, on the other hand he could have a better diet. I can understand why he does not want to do his public speaking from behind a mask, but he ought to wear one when he is coming and going. Bad example for the public.

Before becoming ill, you should up your stores of important nutrients in the body, then continue while ill and after being ill:
Vitamin C, 1 gram morning and evening, more when sick
Vitamin D3, 3,000 to 5,000 IU depending on sun exposure
Vitamin K2 (I don’t know the exact dose, but supposed to be good with the D)
Calcium/magnesium/Zinc tablets, several a day
Pantothenic Acid, 250 to 500 mg., strengthens the adrenal glands

Glad to see I’m not the only one advocating for high Vitamin C. The link below by Dr. Cathcart goes into great detail on how to give high vitamin C intravenously, and orally to bowel tolerance. Orally can be done by a Covid patient at home if they don’t think they can get it at a hospital or get into a hospital.

I'm eternally grateful that We The People Of The United States never adopted parlimitarianism. We're we ever to do that it would be the end of America. Since 1945 the UK has had 23 votes of ‘’no confidence’’ in it's parliament with the most recent being in 1979.

I watched the video. The woman doctor refers to her father’s 40 years experience with high Vitamin C. Do you know his name? She recommends 20 to 4 grams of C a day. I have been taking 3 to 6 grams a day for my allergies. She also mentioned the C trials in China and Dr. Cheng. Here is an article on him and his comment that NY which is trying Vitamin C is not using enough. I agree with him. I once gave a woman suffering from bee sting allergy 50 grams of C over an 8 hour period. Three yellow jackets had stung her neck and after the first 10 grams (crushed in water) her eyes opened again, her throat opened, and the body swelling began to go down. All this in 20 minutes.

Correcting my typo. She recommends 2 to 4 grams of C a day as maintenance dose.

Only one of those 23 confidence votes, that in 1979, was successful and led to the fall of the government and thus to the possibility of the adverse consequences you claimed as regular in your first post. The 1979 vote itself happened almost five years after the previous general election, so was hardly likely to provoke the kind of voter fatigue you described - a general election would have happened within 6 months anyway.

As I said earlier, there have only been three such successful votes in the last century. There have been only 22 in the whole of Parliamentary history since the first in 1740. It certainly isn't a guarantee of instability in the way you claimed.

Most confidence votes are not called with the expectation of succeeding - they're a procedural device by the opposition intended to test the loyalty of government MPs to their own leadership when a controversial measure is being debated, and when there have been signs of disaffection or rebellion among government supporters.
