Children wake up from nightmares. Parents wake up to nightmares.
Lately, I’ve been, I’ve been losing sleep
Dreaming about the things that we could be
But, baby, I’ve been, I’ve been praying hard

I dreamt the Lions won the Super Bowl.
Good for you. I hope your dream somehow went into his dreams.
Were they playing Cleveland?
For many years after 9/11, I had frequent dreams about magnificent flying machines falling from the sky. Sometimes I would watch them in the sky, or falling, from a distance; sometimes I’d have to run so one wouldn’t hit me. These aircraft/ufos/whatever, were impossible to describe; they had detail that was far beyond my ability to imagine or anything I’d seen in science fiction CGI.
It’s been a few years now since I had one; but until then they were at least monthly.
The birds here are chirping. The crows never stop making their racket.
“This whole thing is a weird dream”.
It really is.
Rachel Carlson. Silent Spring. It’s your fault.
I had a toilet paper dream a few nights ago. I was in the grocery store and the isles were stocked to overflowing with all types and brands including my usual one. I was so happy, and then a truck came and delivered a whole truckload to my house I was just starting to think where am I going to put all this toilet paper when I woke up.
At least it was fun while it lasted. Now out hunt for, what some have described as tough as Rambo TP: rough as heck and doesnt take $*** from no one. Ill take what I can get at this point.
Just sayin'.
cut back on the melatonin tabs
Yea, me too and they always seem to be related to vacation trips.......
Where I live it's the opposite. The birds arrived early. They are singing. The wildlife is especially frisky. The expectant squirrels looked like they had taken fertility drugs going by the size of them.
We have many doves here, but none of them mourn. We've never heard a peep out of them, except for the sound of their wings.
I actually noticed something rather unusual early last Fall -- none of the wildlife seemed the least bit concerned about winter. Nobody fattening up, no chipmunks hoarding... even the flowers weren't in any hurry to flower and set seed. They did finally, in late fall when normally the annuals would be done and gone. Instead we had bumblebees lounging on 10ft high cosmos, in every flower center a bumblebee.
Figured it would be a mind winter and early spring, which is exactly what happened.
I'd never seen such strong, consistent messaging. I couldn't *not* notice.
Now the spring growth is emerging and it's particulary robust. Mayflower has been busy spreading every which way, and I know it wasn't in these places last year.
I have been having nightmares — all involving my deceased daughter and husband. All of this isolation and feeling utterly alone is getting to me.
I’m walking down the eighteenth fairway with Jack Nicklaus. Massive overflow crowd packed along the fairway. Jack is away. He hits a great shot right on the green. My turn, I hit a better shot. The crowd goes wild. I say to Jack are they cheering for you or me. He laughs and says I like you kid. The crowd continues to go wild as we walk up to the green.
That was a dream from a long time ago for me when I was playing a lot of golf. That might qualify as the weirdest or best golf dream ever.
The birds around me are making all kinds of noise. No lack of geese, sparrows, starlings, doves, woodpeckers, robins, finches or other birds.
Strange woman playing a guitar on a porch. Somewhere in Nebraska, I think. Lol.
But seriously, the combination of stress and changing sleep patterns (due to work at home, furlough) will have fun with your brain.
The typical solutions are no screens, a standard bedtime, exercise during the day, and watching what you eat and drink.
I still have my “late and unprepared for class, teaching or taking test or writing a paper.” Though I did have one where my friend, a former USN help driver and 737 pilot, was giving me a check flight. I missed the taxi way and vividly remember taxiing across the grass through the fence onto the highway. Somehow we ended up parked in the Smokey Mountains. He got out of his seat and walked away. PS I live in Colorado.
Ever since I started doing CBD oil.
