Last year, New York City Health Commissioner Oxiris Barbot was warning that “even brief contact with the police or indirect exposure is associated with lasting harm to people’s physical and mental health”.
“We as a public health department have really been trying to frame criminal justice system involvement as an exposure,” Barbot’s epidemiologist, Kimberly Zweig, claimed.
Zweig had a degree in epidemiology, but her focus was entirely on PTSD and stress. Not on disease.
Why was New York City so badly unprepared for the arrival of the coronavirus? The answer was radical politics. And Barbot and Zweig embodied the public health mismanagement of a radical administration.

NYC is so dysfunctional at this point at every level of government that I doubt Rudy could straighten it out in two terms. The damage is done and it will be far reaching as you cannot simply fire all of these social justice warrior appointees because this kind of lunacy extends to their deputies, department heads, and even down to the rank and file.

There are many good phrases.
The new leftist government ideology "frame[s] criminal justice system involvement as an exposure." Did you know you can catch it that way?
"[T]he city had its 'first Latina [Health] commissioner.'” Whoa!
She boasts that "she uses a racial equity lens" (i.o.w., she hates white people. Proudly)
The Center for Health Equity which she ran "operationalizes the Department’s commitment to racial justice" and "medicalizes social justice." Have you got plenty of ammo?

"This new U = U campaign." AA, I have never heard of this one, but it scares the frikkin gaylights outta me.
Hopefully this lib virus takes a lot of them out.
I find it fasinating that all of the people in this article are women except for De Blasio whose wife tells him what to do. Ok, progressives fire away.
