Former Vice President Joe Biden confirmed this week that Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) is one of the women he's considering as a potential running mate in his White House bid.
Biden, who has already vowed to tap a woman as his vice presidential pick, said Tuesday night he’s been considering Whitmer for the role for months, but that he is eyeing as many as 10 potential candidates.
“She made the list in my mind two months ago. There’s probably going to be a list, I’m in the process of, Brian, we’ll have it by mid-April, putting together an organization that will run the background checks…by the second or third week in April,” Biden told MSNBC host Brian Williams.
“I’ve thought about some of the women who I believe are ready to be president and I think I can work with and would be willing to work with me. It’s going to be somewhere between six and 10 of them.”
Whitmer, a rising Democratic star who flipped Michigan’s governorship in 2018, has long been seen as a possible running mate for Biden. Whitmer runs a crucial swing state that Democrats will almost certainly have to win back in November to defeat President Trump, and she handed Biden a high-profile endorsement before the Wolverine State’s primary last month, which the former vice president ultimately won by double digits.

As you know Frank the rats got 4 high Dem turnout props on the 11/18 ballot. The rats have mastered this trick. The GOP SOS could have put them on the August Primary ballot but the GOP has a tradition of bringing marshmallows to a gun fight.
As a result the rats flipped the Governor, AG and the SOS seats.

Whitmer is very popular among Democrats. They like her taking on Trump regularly.
Whitmer is a socialist Soros stooge, but there is not much dirt on her that would deter many from supporting her.

Excellent analysis. Dems maneuver like political pros in Michigan even when in minority. GOP never does it right.
My only hope is the Biden Commies (”Dem. Socialists”) will be furious, pout and stay home if not build a third party. Young voters often do this as 1968 with absurd Eldridge Cleaver candidacy.
Then Cuomo, Hillary (or that old dementia sufferer Biden) will not bring out their voters. Michelle O or Oprah would be tough opponents for Trump, though. Hope they stay offstage. This has to begin with Biden resigning his candidacy on his own before a convention vote.

I saw her name in a headline yesterday. I thought it said Gretchen Wilson. I was momentarily surprised that I didn’t know the “Redneck Woman” was now governor of Michigan. Getting old sucks.
