CNN’s Jim Acosta: ‘This Was a Different Trump’

CNN chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta, known for his rough-and-tumble verbal battles with President Donald Trump, likely raised eyebrows among CNN viewers on Tuesday night when he praised the president’s new tone at the latest White House press briefing, claiming “this was a different Trump.”

During the briefing, Acosta asked whether projections of up to 200,000 deaths would be lower if Trump had acted sooner, prompting the president to insist that he did act early. Trump did not spar with his longtime nemesis, even noting at one point that Acosta’s question was “fair.”

“This was a different Donald Trump tonight,” Acosta concluded. “I think he gets it, Anderson.”

President Trump should take a page out of Usurper Soetoro’s playbook and declare that he’s saved over 2 million lives the way Soeotor said he “saved” X number of jobs back during his recession.

“This was a different Donald Trump tonight,” Acosta concluded. “I think he gets it, Anderson.”

I have been listening intently to Trump for years, and other than the new narrative of the number of deaths and the concern over that possibility, there was nothing different.

And to extrapolate Acosta’s thinking about Trump, if Acosta’s evaluation of Trump was accurate before, Trump would be so strait-jacketed by his faults that he would not have changed in any way from what Acosta already thought.

*************

Mischaracterization alert! It's not about robust exchanges with the president, its about hurling INSULTS AND CHEAP SHOTS at him. We all know what Acosta is -- and its not a journalist.

I’m betinning to think this virus is to Trump what the attack on Pearl Harbor was to FDR.

It was a different country then. Sure, FDR had many detractors, but people back then were still loyal to this country. Not the case anymore.

No, Jim, it's the same Trump that he has always been. If he appears to be of towering intelligence and puissance and profound morality, it's because you have allowed your eyes to open to Truth.

If memory serves me, President Trump said that Jim Acosta's question was not intended to be a fair question, but when Acosta protested that it was, President Trump--in his usual magnificent magnanimity--replied: "Okay, I'll take your word for it."

Maybe this is a sign that the reporters of the news media are getting it, i.e. beginning to see the Truth and the greatness and heroism of President Trump.

See, you’re referring to Fredo from the movie. I’m referring to Fredo who’s living in his basement, sick with the Chinese Virus.

I think it is all about expectation management...it will get worse, but not to the levels in other countries. If Trump and his team keep painting a rosy picture, that does play well against backdrops (no matter how contrived) of what we’re seeing in the media. Yet, if the numbers end up being lower than anticipated, then Trump can say he followed the Drs advice and his team can take credit for taking the right steps then start recommending reduction in restrictions in the appropriate places sooner than anticipated.

“I think he gets it, Anderson.”

I stopped reading right there. Trump “got it” back when this condescending piece of sh** was crying racism for shutting down flights from China.

Yep, I watched the marathon briefing Tuesday & Trump has figured out to step aside & let the DRs swat the media every chance he can. Trump was excellent dealing with Acosta & Yamache Alcindor the 2 biggest grandstanders . When he doesn’t like a question he takes It in a different direction. The Task force has to be exhausted dealing with these idiots, No idea where Trump gets the energy..

“I’m betinning to think this virus is to Trump what the attack on Pearl Harbor was to FDR.”

In some ways. But in the ‘40s, America was united against the enemy, and they aren’t now. The left wants America to lose — to anyone. One of our enemies now is invisible.

Acosta is an ass, plain and simple. No matter what he does or says now or in the future, he’ll always be an ass.
