If you live in Michigan, and you or a loved one is infected with this potentially lethal disease, you’re out of luck.
Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs literally threatened all doctors and pharmacists in the state who prescribe or dispense hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19.
The agency’s March 24 letter warns physicians and pharmacists of professional consequences for the prescribing of hydroxychloroquine (and chloroquine). Beyond the rational recommendation against hoarding as production of this medication needs to be ramped up, the letter deviates into open threats of “administrative action” against the licenses of doctors that prescribe hydroxychloroquine.
The letter also instructs pharmacists to ignore physician orders for this medication. Due to the debate over a pharmacist’s right to refuse to fill medications that go against their religious beliefs, this could place pharmacists in the unprecedented position of being told that they must fill prescriptions that violate their “conscience (religious belief)” but must not fill prescriptions to treat COVID-19.
Even worse, the letter indicates health care providers are “required to report” their fellow physicians who are prescribing these medications. This draconian measure carries ominous Gestapo-like overtones of neighbor reporting neighbor to “authorities.”

It goes back over 70 years. It does not have an “approved indication” for this virus. It is legal to use a drug for “off patent” indications and this is often done for many drugs. I was on this drug when I worked in Nigeria.

Great, the black market for these drugs must be booming. Probably cost more on the street than oxycontin. And lots of fake drugs will end up in the black market. We need to ramp up production of the drug. It seems that the earlier it is given the better. It is generic and cheap and a broad safety profile. Give it to everyone diagnosed, anyone symptomatic even if not diagnosed, health care workers, and anyone reasonably believed to be exposed to the virus.
This is not medical advice but the regimen that seems to work is to take Hydroxychloroquine, Azithromyocin and Zinc supplements.
I don’t know and don’t believe it is preventive. It is not a vaccine. But it seems to work together to defeat the virus, prevent it from attaching to blood cells and replicating in the body.
Hope she gets it and dies.
Big Pharma’s lobbying efforts are starting to pay off. There will be more governors getting on the payroll.
Please do not pollute the Cedar River with that trash. Take her to Lake Erie instead.
This should be left up to the discretion of the doctors. The drugs apparently are not without potential serious side effects, but if someone is in critical condition and deteriorating that hardly matters at that point. This is madness.

That’s what I’ve said right along- charge them with negligent homicide- Every victim’s families should join a class action lawsuit against her specifically, and against the state for causing multiple deaths necessarily by severely restricting the use of a life saving drug while a MEDICAL CRISIS is going on- (Yes, all flues that cause death are ‘medical crisis’- but we’re talking about the here and now- but of course once a lawsuit like this goes forward and possibly wins, past flu victim’s families will likely look for similar lawsuits)
Obviously the choice of medical treatment should be a matter between a patient and the governor of his or her state.

So if/when an American citizen in that state dies because the governor did this, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer should be immediately arrested by US Marshals and indicted for MURDER ONE.
Prosecute the bitch to the full extent of the law. There’s a cell in Gitmo waiting.
Same goes for any other democrat piece of sh*t governor that pulls this crap.
