HARRISBURG The Pennsylvania Supreme Court dismissed a lawsuit filed by a gun shop that challenged Gov. Tom Wolfs authority to shutter businesses determined to be non-life-sustaining, paving the way for enforcement to begin Monday.
Without comment, a majority of the states high court late Sunday denied the petition by a gun shop, a gun purchaser and a law firm to have Wolfs shutdown order thrown out. The lawsuit had claimed Wolfs edict violated the Second Amendment right to bear arms and other constitutional rights.

PA Ping List please.
You ignore the unconstitutional edict and open anyway.
If the government thinks the crisis is big enough, then they think violating your rights is no problem. Just the way it is Im afraid. The courts are VERY political.
No. The number one priority of government is to protect life. When your dead you cant exercise any of your rights.
I’m curious about the specific statute which empowers the Governor to make such decisions. I don’t think the article cites it. I’m also not sure the Court cited it either.
America’s robed mullahs know what is best for us. Judicial tyranny combined with legislative tyranny and states right’s executive tyranny is not good.
Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what your country can do to you?
“Charter of negative liberties”. right Barry?
Are liquor stores open?
That’s exactly right.
“...a majority of the states high court ...”
Dems have the majority of PA supreme court. So of course they’ll side with Wolf. 5 Dems, two GOP. Two of the dems are women.
This is not a surprise.
No. That’s why the quotes of “Give me liberty, or give me death!” or “Live free or die: Death is not the worst of evils.” are still famous. We fought the revolutionary war over freedom from tyranny, not over safety.
Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety Is another quote from a founding father which indicates your way off on this subject.
I beg to differ. We go to war to protect our rights and in the process men get killed. This so-called war the soldiers include every body. Shutting down, destroying businesses, lives, freedoms and liberties is an exercise in tyranny. We are not on the offensive by cowering in our foxholes. Our freedoms and liberties are being stripped from us, when we can individually take personal responsibility and actions to protect ourselves from the virus without losing our constitutional rights. The group think of government bureaucrats that don’t know jack schiff about business or anything else for that matter actually hinders the fight against the ChiCom Flu. The constitution does not enumerate, Protect Life. It does say general Welfare, emphasis on ‘general’. That includes everything, particularly the things that provide the welfare of people - enumerated constitutional rights. This is simply an exercise in tyranny, with more tyranny to follow if successful.
Liquor stores are closed (state run). Some supermarkets sell wine and beer. They are open.
“Are liquor stores open?”
State runs them...the filthy government wants the tax revenue so they’ll probably be open.

Can’t have the hospitals overrun with alcohol withdrawal cases
Another subversive, anti- American court that desperately needs to be replaced ASAP
We’re seeing the end of the world as we have known it. Since the Deep State couldn’t get rid of Trump by any other means, they are now going to crash the economy and take our rights away. They NEVER let a crisis “go to waste”.
This needs to go Federal via a Denial of Civil Rights action.
PA’s Supreme Cucks are all about ass kissing that statist bastard on N. 2nd St.
