Very informative post. You told us something that hasn’t been reported lately, and I don’t doubt you at all.

Thanks. I hope the feds relax the regs so you get an opportunity to do what you do and make a lot of money. I wish you great success.

I hope store managers are noting what is not being bought and then switch order prioritization accordingly. From what I’ve seen, more packaged “health foods” seem to be left on the shelves than, say, mac & cheese.

And cows and chickens have their own distribution scheduling logistics.

They are considering closing ALL interstate truck stops to fuel only. That, from one of the truck stop people on I 40 near here. I have a neighbor who works there.

Truckers are already refusing loads. The local Travel stop in the valley here ran out of gas-no truck delivery yesterday. Yesterday, they ran out of diesel.

We are about to see something none of us thought we would never see.

Yesterday one of the hysterians mentioned that in an argument with me on here. I thought that it was pure BS..it aint.

I do hope the hysterians are really happy. They got their man made disaster.

I read there was a temporary relief of parts of the HOS for emergency food shipment.
Some guys I know are using it.
Gotta take a 10 after the delivery though.

“If your local retail store is being replenished from a third party distribution center, you can expect greater shortages and longer replenishment times; we will see entire days of empty shelves in these stores. However, if your local retail store owns their own warehouse and distribution network, the replenishment will be faster”

Most supermarkets are supplied by a third party or if they are a large chain they may do their own. The model discussed in this article sound more like pre 1990’s. Either way he is correct about the resources running tight, labor, trucks, product.

Faster replenishment because they own the warehouse— I would disagree. I am not convinced either way is faster.

Trump has heard you. The Federal regs on truckers’ hours have been waived.

“ever wonder why animals don’t need toilet paper”

I’ve seen cats clean themselves. No thanks.

Sadly your observations hold true in many ways.

It would do this country a tremendous amount of good if people would do two things:

1) Turn OFF cable news
2) Unplug from social media

Those are the things that have been weaponized in this society to whip-up hysteria.

Who is “they” who are considering this restriction for truck stops? Do they think truck drivers don’t have to eat or buy supplies for their trucks?

Those of us who saw it coming and stocked up already can sit back and wait a week for things to catch up. That was the point of stocking up.

One big thing Trump could do, is order DOT to relax overtime rules for truckers a little. Just enough that they can do 4 or 5 trips instead of 3 per day, for the next few days.

I emailed him about this 48 hours ago. That’s pretty good service!

Looking at the shape most Americans are in I’d say a 60 day food shortage would be beneficial.

Some Businesses are going to be booming this year. Agriculture is probably one of those.

Ask them, not me.

I do know this. At the grocery store this morn, one of the workers told me that stock is being expected in 3 to 4 days now instead of 2 to 3. Truckers are starting to call off.

Unions? I dunno.

It actually cheaper to eat out for both lunch and diner every day. The food industry has so screwed everything up eating out is cheaper than making your own.
