Hey..pretty much confirmed. Just at the local gas station/party store. Its the local watering hole for us old geezers to spin the yarn.

Attendant said her boss gave her a heads up that she was informed that “all establishments that carry, or sell food “perishables” will be required to shut down and, one, either go to window service only or two, delivery only.

We asked her when? And she said that it is being seriously considered.

That includes truck stops.

By the State-at this time.

Dam these panic sob’s.

Understood. It won’t help oversize either. They’re sweating permits.

During the 2008 depression, there was a regular poster here, a mother of two, who asked people for help with different ways to prepare beans and tortillas every day. It was really, really sad. She was in a hard way.

There was also a young doc, recently graduated, who said he was bugging out to Panama.

Don’t know what happened to either of them.

Article on the problem with FMCSA’s recent hours of emergency service waiver for commercial drivers:

https://sports.yahoo.com/trucking-wants-more-clarity-emergency-133727542.html

This is an ivory tower agency with drastic and punitive enforcement powers. Can’t blame motor carriers for hanging back when it’s unclear exactly what they are authorizing. These jokers have the authority to shut trucking companies down.

Emergency food deliveries are covered but not defined. “Routine” commercial deliveries are not covered. What the hell. The entire country is an emergency zone. Our “routine” consists of nothing but grocery deliveries to our stores. Demand has tripled. Having the stores run out will lead to panic and public disorder. Every load that has groceries in it is an emergency delivery for the next 30 days minimum.

The article says they’re going to mull over the confusion they caused and get back to us. That’s reassuring.

Others buy distilled for house plants, and reverse osmosis drinking water because of a better taste.
