Mexico has 2 advantages - very hot food, and hot weather. Both wear down the effectiveness of the virus. This is also why Northern Italy is more affected than Southern Italy.

For what it’s worth I don’t think they will have a big outbreak because in most of the population centers they have high humidity. Arid areas in the North and Baja California might be different. Also poor hygiene may spread it by contact.
