From almost the very beginning of the COVID-19/coronavirus crisis in January and early February, it’s often been asked whether it might be the “Chinese Chernobyl.” Could the crisis expose the weakness of the mix of oppression, information control, and social disgust that underpin the Chinese Communist regime and trigger its collapse? Others have suggested that it might instead be “president Xi Jinping’s Tiananmen,” meaning he will use all the tools at his disposal to tighten down and prevent, well . . . a Chinese Chernobyl.
It is too soon to know what may happen. But it’s not too soon for attempts to whitewash the timeline and Chinese-government actions in the earliest moments of the crisis. Indeed, even now, the level of public anxiety about both the virus and what the Chinese government is doing and saying about it remain high.
It is helpful to review the current status and the timeline that got us here. On Monday, February 24, the World Health Organization determined that reported cases of COVID-19/coronavirus had peaked. At the time, there were about 76,000 reported cases in China, and about 1,800 cases elsewhere in the world. In the United States, there were 14 reported cases. As of March 7, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and state and local public health reporting suggest the number is more than 300 cases, a twenty-fold increase. Globally, there are more than 100,000 cases, with more than 350 deaths in Italy alone.
The world has barely begun to reckon with what the Chinese government claims to have gotten under control. It’s true that forced quarantining and other extreme measures in China played a critical role. It appears at least a faction of the Chines oligarchy would like to withhold vital pharmaceuticals in retaliation for rightfully blaming China for the spread of the Coronavirus, at least initially.
That’s what I’ve been saying. But even here, FReepers day it’s just the flu. How many flus are bio-engineered? Governments know something they are not telling. First time in recent history, country after country goes on lockdown.
Why are the Communist Chinese so quick to cover it up and use all social media and news outlets to shift blame? Why only the Communist Chinese cucks, the WHO, allowed in Wuhan?

The CCP is deflecting because they MUST maintain “face” with their people, especially as unrest grows with the recent/current situation in China. It’s obvious to the casual observer. But there is the real danger with this tactic that poses substantial threat to peace. Imagine if our government started claiming that China released a bio-weapon in Detroit that has infected hundreds-of-thousands and killed thousands. (Of course we know that real numbers are likely 10x). The only references to such activity would be 9/11 or Pearl Harbor. Now superimposed the Chinese condition on those incidents. 1) They have been taught that the West has degraded them for more than a century and that they demand payback; 2) great anger over their current condition ; 3) the use of the most hienous WMD know to mankind against their people. So here is the punchline: How do they save face now? To fold or not take action PROVES CCP fecklessness in their people’s own eyes. Especially since they have essentially been told that the 3rd dynasty is at hand. Hell of a mess. I would love to see you tall on this subject...it will be the next big horizon in history, or the CCP will fail/decline without something big redirecting attention.

So if the WuFlu spreads from the US to say Mexico should Mexico blame the US? China needs bashing but this is the wrong thing to hit them with.
Did China force us to do business with them? Is it realistic to think they could contain it?
Did China force US airlines to fly 100’s of flights to China. Did the Chinese force US universities to take their billions for tuition?
Except the China lovers in the Democrap Party and MSM will protest.
The US will be the only country willing to hold China responsible for the virus and the other countries will support China in their protestations. It will become a frictionous subject between the US and the rest of the world.
