Author Stephen King tried dunking on President Trump during his address at the White House on Friday, but it quickly backfired when his claim about the coronavirus response team was proven wrong.
"Note that Trumps coronavirus team is all male, all old, and all white," King tweeted during Trump's press conference. The president was in the middle of discussing the pandemic and his declaration of a national emergency.
Behind him stood several members of his coronavirus task force, including Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Administrator Seema Verma, who is neither male nor white.
Just minutes after King's tweet, Dr. Deborah Birx took the podium. Birx, a world-renowned medical expert, was named the White House's coronavirus response coordinator.
She has worked extensively in the global fight against HIV/AIDS -- both as the State Department's U.S. global AIDS coordinator and as the U.S. special representative for global health diplomacy.

He writes great thrillers. Other than that he displays his school teacher background...low voltage, low current, and not much ability to produce real work.
he hasn’t. he cranked out the last three books of the dark tower, and they were cheap pulp to me. read #5 and never bothered reading the rest - what a shame, I thought Wizard and Glass was superb.
If the members of the task force are qualified and professional, I dont give a damn about their sex, race, or ethnicity.
He was fine until he was brain damaged from that truck accident. He later made sure the driver was Arkancided, it would appear.
the so-called bachman books were really great stories, and when you look at when they were written, very original.
I think his short story compilations (night shift, skeleton crew, everything’s eventual) were full of gems.
Koontz has characters who are genuinely good or evil or tottering between the two - but make choices. The good guys inspire and the tottering elicit cheers when they choose good over evil.
All my life I adored Steven King. He was a bit long-winded but is a good writer.
I read many of his books.
I am so annoyed that he became such an asshole. He will never have my admiration again.
Good think hes a writer instead of a reader.
I could be wrong but I don’t think King wrote Shawshank Redemption.
“The Stand”, by me, was one of the greatest books ever written.
Well, I see he’s finally acknowledging the difference between “his art” and “quality”...
Not always. Didn’t he have a book on writing?
Nobody is throw away. Except for that guy I told to kill himself if he's that freaked out about the virus. That was wrong. I'll go back and apologize. You and your family and friends are not throwaway characters in this current - either pandemic or pantomime. We are God's children. Be smart. Don't panic. Just be mindful.

“Tho a gifted writer of horror, King is a dope”
Tho a gifted writer of horror, King is a BLIND dope
Not only is there a woman (a physician and diplomat) on the team but she might be the most qualified person in the world for her job.
King must be a very miserable, bitter human being.
It was a true, good-vs-evil epic. Timely, too for we who live during Love in the Time of Corona.
Gee just like you and your enfeebled candidates
