Stephen King panned for claiming coronavirus task force is 'all male ... all white'

Author Stephen King tried dunking on President Trump during his address at the White House on Friday, but it quickly backfired when his claim about the coronavirus response team was proven wrong.

"Note that Trump’s coronavirus team is all male, all old, and all white," King tweeted during Trump's press conference. The president was in the middle of discussing the pandemic and his declaration of a national emergency.

Behind him stood several members of his coronavirus task force, including Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Administrator Seema Verma, who is neither male nor white.

Just minutes after King's tweet, Dr. Deborah Birx took the podium. Birx, a world-renowned medical expert, was named the White House's coronavirus response coordinator.

She has worked extensively in the global fight against HIV/AIDS -- both as the State Department's U.S. global AIDS coordinator and as the U.S. special representative for global health diplomacy.

Both not true, and bizarre that is something you would think of in a public health emergency...the mindset of the Left.

He still hasn't deleted the tweet:Stephen King @StephenKing Note that Trump’s coronavirus team is all male, all old, and all white.

All male and all white...just like BillyBob’s medical team when he had his heart surgery.I remember the post-operative press conference they held. Not a bit of melanin to be seen or a bit of estrogen in evidence.

Ironically, "The Stand" was the only Stephen King novel that I truly liked. And I read most of them.

For short stories, my favorite one was "Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption" which was turned into the "Shawshank Redemption" movie.

Stephen King ✔ @StephenKing ...I would never consider diversity in matters of art. Only quality. It seems to me that to do otherwise would be wrong. 60.7K 8:20 AM - Jan 14, 2020

I enjoy reading his books when I get them from the used bookstore run by a non-profit, knowing they were donated and what I pay goes to a good local cause. My little way of telling him to STFU and write.

I saw the 8-part YT “The Stand”, and it was eerie. So was that movie about the murderous dolls, and “Pet Semetary”.

But his best years are long behind him, I’d bet. He’s never been the same since he was hit by that car, a few years ago.

I pay full price for Koontz for hardcovers. I suspect he may be a Freeper.

The only thing more demented than King’s statement is the rush to fill important positions with idiots simply because they’re female & multicolored.

He is really not that gifted as a horror writer. His ‘Salem’s Lot and The Shining were rewrites of Dracula and The Haunting of Hill House.

crazy right? some of his early novels were genius. I keep feeling like I am in the early chapters of The Stand, with how governments lie and people behave/are motivated despite obvious doom looming. some days I feel like I recognize myself in a couple of the early throwaway cast.
