It’s INSANE! I went to my local Stop & Shop supermarket and the toilet paper shelves were totally EMPTY.
I went back this morning, and they were still empty. So I spoke to customer service who told me that they get toilet paper deliveries EVERY DAY and they sell out immediately.
So tomorrow I will be there at 7am (opening time) to get some. Hope there will be eome available by that time. I have enough to get me through the next few weeks, but the panic buying now has ME panic buying.
People don’t know how much toilet paper they go through in a month. It’s less than they’d estimate.
Do you need it? How much do you need to survive 21 days? 20 rolls? 10 rolls?
Most people have no idea.
Hubby drove to work today at 6:30 am and passed several supermarkets. Said all the parking lots were jammed. I went to the store this morning: no turlet paper, paper towels, hand soap or sanitizer, bleach, and the fresh meat cases were mostly empty.
My local Super Walmart has a isle of toilet paper that must hold 50 pallets of toilet paper and it was totally empty, zip, nothing.
People were filling their carts with paper towels and they were almost gone.
I’ve never seen it like this, even Y2K wasn’t this bad.
