Article III, Section II of the Constitution states: “ In all the other Cases before mentioned, the supreme Court shall have appellateJurisdiction, both as to Law and Fact, with such Exceptions, and under such Regulations as the Congress shall make.”

Congress has the power to determine the jurisdiction of courts under the Supreme Court. The Constitution provides for the specific jurisdiction of the Supreme Court.

If the GOP were serious about the rule of law, Congress under House Speaker Ryan and Majority Leader McConnell could have passed legislation specifically eliminating the ability of individual federal judges and courts to issue decrees from the bench wiping out laws and preventing the president from executing the laws of the country.

Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell completely wasted 2 years when they had a GOP president (Trump) in office who would have signed any legislation put in front of him. Much good could for the people and the nation could have been accomplished. Unfortunately Ryan was apparently a Trojan horse, purposefully obstructing the president and preventing conservative legislation from being written and passed. Sadly, McConnell facilitated the inaction with the help of Romney, Collins, Murkowski, Sasse and a few other weak kneed GOP Senators.

Judicial reform is badly needed. The courts have become politicized along with the Justice Department. Even if the GOP wins the House and Senate in the fall, and Trump is reelected, I don’t see Speaker McCarthy and Majority leader McConnell up to the challenge of taking on the leftist black robed tyrants in the federal judiciary. Too many K Street dinners to attend. Too much legislation to pass for the donors.

I agree that Ryan and McConnell are complicit through inaction in protecting the other branches from rogue courts (among many other things.) But they really didn’t have a true majority in the Senate during Trump’s first two years, with the other RINO’s in strategic place. The UNelected Murkowski, McCain and Collins RINO’s broke any unanimity for the Republican majority. Oh, well, just another excuse for Republican leaders to hide behind. “If only we had _____, then we’d pass legislation.”

I have been saying this for a long time but nobody seems to care, Congress Alone can decide what courts here and what they can NOT!! A simple statement at the end of a Pro Life Legislation that said:

and the supreme court shall remain silent on this issue

is all it takes.
