John Charles Hinderaker, of Arizona, to be United States District Judge for the District of Arizona.
Mark C. Scarsi, of California, to be United States District Judge for the Central District of California.
Stanley Blumenfeld, of California, to be United States District Judge for the Central District of California.
Fernando L. Aenlle-Rocha, of California, to be United States District Judge for the Central District of California.
Grace Karaffa Obermann, of Virginia, to be a Judge of the United States Court of Federal Claims for a term of fifteen years.
More district court nominees on the Senate Calendar.
Hmmm... Hard to supress latent paranoia with the possible appointment of someone from CA with a four-part name...
Certainly need some definituve information before becoming overjoyed at any of these nominations for CA...
That is true.
Looks pretty good:

Time for a visit over that way to see the new offerings on Leader McConnell's buffet.
...Furthermore, as he is a Republican who was suggested and recommended for the federal bench by Californias Democratic senators, his confirmation process should be fairly smooth....

I dont think we should install ANY Federal District judges who the DemocRATS are OK with. I BLAME Lindsey Graham for this predicament because he INSISTS upon keeping the Blue Slip process for District Court nominees THUS GIVING DemocRAT Senators EXTRACONSTITUTIONAL VETO POWER over District Court judges in their states.
Thanks for the vettingroom.org link...
However, I read nothing that makes me at all comfortable with his nomination...
From the link:
"... a Republican who was suggested and recommended for the federal bench by Californias Democratic senators, his confirmation process should be fairly smooth."
I have highlighted a couple of key "red flags" (IMHO)...
For me, "a high level of comfort" is attained by a 53-47 Senate confirmation vote... Whereas, "high level of outrage" is attained by any Senate confirmation vote that has more than 8 or 10 of the communists voting with the GOP (63-37 pisses me off, but 64-36 is outrageous)...
Break out your Bible again Chief Justice Roberts.
There’s gonna be a whole lot more swearings-in going on!
I know that is a common thought pattern on FR. I think Federalist Society is a very reassuring marker that isn’t present in this case. Cuban Americans are in general very conservative. This man’s life history sounds solid. A judge who has not been involved in political cases may not get the Left up in arms. The vote tally is not enough to reassure me or put me off.
