That's very sweet of you to think so, but in the real world, the Honduran subcontractor will simply disappear, and the hired roofing company will have their attorneys delay and deflect liability to the subcontractor. The victim will get nothing, other than the expense of a new roof... possibly to be built by this who are not too distant from the wrong actors here (either related by blood or by incorporation).
Might the homeowner’s insurance get involved? Vandalism?
