Tennessee woman wakes up to find workers ripping off her roof - after they went to the wrong home in the wrong city

The work crew had started ripping off the roof of Belinda Hungate's home in Spring Hill on February 20 when she was woken by the noise.

She then confronted the crew, but she said that they didn't speak English.
.
.
.
'They did not speak English. The sub-contractor is from Honduras. No business cards, no contractors license,' her husband Philip Hungate told DailyMail.com.

'My wife called me at work in a panic saying there were guys on the roof and they were tearing things off.'

Nope!

Although about 3 weeks later...they have little yellow flags stuck in the yard. When I start mowing...I'm plucking them out...and they can go to hell about it...Ha!!

Of course they don't tell you nothing.

You can't call and get any answer..unless you call the emergency number. I called it at least 4 times..after they fixed the leak problem..and failed in a timely manner to fix the sidewalk and curb.

They TOTALLY suck at customer service,

My daughter came home from work one day and found her house about 1/3 painted. Never found out who did it, but because there is a west version of her east avenue with the same street number, we guessed that they figured out that they were on the wrong street part way through and just took off. Didn’t leave a note of course.

Why is it so difficult for people to just be honest & admit it when they make a goofy mistake??

Because that’s associated with legal liability.

"The Most Dangerous Intersection in America"

In 2001, State Farm Insurance ranked the intersection of Flamingo Road and Pines Boulevard in Pembroke Pines,"The Most Dangerous Intersection in America".

Using data from over a two-year period, the company found that 357 vehicular accidents happened during their study at the intersection, which is where C. B. Smith Park, Pembroke Lakes Mall, a hospital, and two shopping centers are located. 😁

Where I am all the roofers are Central American. One was from Southern Mexico that I talked with. From Chiapas. They do a good job as long as they are under proper direction from the crew leader aka jefe.

Lol. It would be the truth. Make sure the lady of the house makes the call.

But be sure to hide your dog.

“In 2001, State Farm Insurance ranked the intersection of Flamingo Road and Pines Boulevard in Pembroke Pines,”The Most Dangerous Intersection in America”.”

That’s because confused people stop in the intersection trying to figure out where to go.

Streets should have one-word names and there should only one such street in the county.

Ralph, Apple, Mary, Fish, etc. In big cities you might get stuck living on Manure road but your mail wouldn’t wind up across town.

Such optimism. I would not be shocked to learn that she gets a citation for having work done without a permit and has to pay double fees to pull one.

I grew up in Queens NY. Most streets and avenues are numbers. Makes it much easier to get around.

Street names often change when crossing a major highway. Designed to confuse tourists?

One street in Miami is named after a Peruvian Admiral. Local pols have their names removed from street signs upon convictions.

Most Hispanics I’ve had working at the house were incredibly hard workers.

Reminds me of the time, 20 years or so ago, that I saw a miracle.

A small group of Americans walked into a small restaurant in Hearst, Ontario. After trying to order in English, the waiter told us he only spoke French. We all got up to leave and, shazzam, he suddenly could speak English like the Queen herself

Had tree trimmers on our neighbors property a few years back. They had a problem and really needed help. Like rope and ladder to keep from falling. I tried to help, but they couldn’t understand me nor me them. The foreman came back just in time to accept my offer of climbing rope before one of the guys fell from the tree. It could have gotten ugly. They were obviously not skilled climbers or trimmer, just a couple of guys picked up on the corner looking for day work.

We have a strict policy that no one works on our property unless they can prove they are here legally. They can be seasonal, but the have to have a green card. Learned this during my years running asbestos and lead abatement projects.

Too bad she did not have a Glock and training. Make them stop and not move while punching in 9-1-1.

More likely the guys disappear and the man who hired them says he didn’t and knows nothing about it.
