Missed the fun in the sand, retired just prior, but had an army 0-6 Doc tell me recently that we’re going to be paying for Afghanistan/Iraq for the next 30 years because of the weight those guys have been humping. Like it or not, there are physical differences between the sexes, and if they’re worrying about guys knees and backs, I can just imagine what it would do to women. I’m not taking anything away from the gals... several who worked for me along the way retired E-9’s and were damn effective but we were not humping 80 pound packs, either.
