Acosta is not invited. He goes as part of the press delegation and the White House has no say. Remember when he was thrown out of the White House press room? He and CNN sued and they won. The WH had to let him back in.

Press credentials are granted by the WH Press Association, which is the press themselves. The WH has no input. As it should be.

I can't stand Acosta, but I don't want any president from any party, deciding who gets to cover their activities.
