Sessions will lose, just like Moore before him. Put bad candidates up, they cannot win. Sessions should have remained retired after Trump fired him.

The guy is pathetic showing up on TV like nothing happened. We all know that at best he was stupid and duped. He should have left it like that so we could pretend.

Sessions should have recused himself before he accepted the job of AG and remained in the Senate. He knew he couldn’t touch the biggest cases at the Justice Department.

The ongoing unaddressed problems and derelictions of the Department of Justice and the FBI make all too clear that Sessions, although a fine man and good conservative, was a failure as AG. He believed too much in the DOJ as an institution and in traditional gentlemanly rules of politics. Plainly inadequate for the demands of political combat today, it is hard to see where Sessions has a persuasive case for being returned to the US Senate.

Don’t underestimate the power of aristocracy in the South. Sessions is an institution in Alabama, just like Strom Thurmond used to be in SC. It’s not the same as in England, but similar.
