On Thursday, however, the conservative Club for Growth released a poll that showed former Auburn football coach Tommy Tuberville surging into first place, getting the nod from 32% of those polled to top Mr. Sessions 29%. The Club for Growth has campaigned aggressively against contender Rep. Bradley Byrne.

Did Sessions recuse himself from the campaign?
I’m still figuring out who to replace Martha Roby with...dont like Troy King and the others are mostly unknowns...
Im voting for Tuberville, the non politician!l
Are you sure of who youre voting for? I dont know where he truly stands on anything. I do know about Sessions and Byrne.
you people are making a huge mistake
Interestingly, POTUS has called Sessions his “worst mistake” and declined to endorse him.
Sessions who has a proven record as a Senator.
Proven record of what? Running his mouth?
Rewarding Sessions for aiding and abetting the coup as AG will only encourage the GOP Senate to increase their obstruction of POTUS and the MAGA agenda.
Actually saw a Judge Roy Moore billboard in Huntsville yesterday.
Alabama GOP voters should “recuse” themselves from voting for Derp Jeff Sessions.
Good ole Derp Jeff who stood by while the treasonous coup plotters tried to take down our President.
Say NO to Derp Jeff !
...and why he probably was a part of the insurance policy that allowed Mueller and his fellow traitors to engage in pure deceit, sedition and treason.
You have your opinion. I have mine. Last I checked. You don’t get to vote for me.
I will as well. Everyone on this thread is correct...Sessions should have stayed retired. His political ads are almost laughable. In them he states that he will always support Pres. Trump. We are supposed to believe that he will support the president after what he did?? And he stands for the old politics of Alabama.
Recusal on the biggest case in DOJ... he didn’t do his job and should have resigned
Tuberville. Yes, he’s somewhat of a carpetbagger, but he is a Trumper.
Just say no to do-nothing Sleepy Jeff Sessions.
Precisely. HE IS PRO TRUMP.
If he is pro Trump, then he will listen when his president tells him one or two of his positions won’t work.
Because he was for Ted Cruz.
There were a ton of FReepers then who said the same.
Republican candidates for Alabama 2nd Congressional District (Martha Roby, retiring):
Jeff Coleman of Dothan
Terri Hasdorff of Wetumpka
Former state Attorney General Troy King of Elba
Former state Rep. Barry Moore of Enterprise
Prattville businesswoman Jessica Taylor
Each of the names above are links to their respective campaign sites.
I am for either Jessica Taylor or Barry Moore. Troy King lost to Luther Strange (blech) over the community college scandal back in 2010. Coleman is a businessman, who wants to be the pro-business candidate, and Terri Hasdorf seems nice but she's super religious. Nothing wrong with that.
Jessica Taylor, I'll admit, is cute. And she's got some great campaign videos calling out AOC and her squad!
Plus, I like ladies from Prattville! ;->
This is a tough vote for me. I believe all of the top three . . . Tuberville, Sessions and Byrne . . . are all worms. Can’t vote for Moore. I guess that leaves me with Arnold Mooney.
In the general election, I will vote for the Republican nominee over Doug Jones. . . all three worms are better than Jones.
I do like her clever commercials. Wish Tea Party Becky was running...sigh
Agreed. I’ll vote for Byrne on the 3rd. I think Sessions and Tuberville will get a runoff. If that happens, I’ll vote for Tommy.
But come November—Republican all the way. Even the Keebler Elf is better than Dog Jones.
