Debates aren’t designed to educate people on issues, they are to compare and argue positions for and against some policy.

Even worse when ‘moderators’ erroneously factcheck candidates.

She’s wrong again. These fake news media moderated so-called “debates” should be discontinued. Period.

I know President Trump doesn’t like to back away from a fight - even an unfair fight. But I hope he leverages his incumbency status and his clout as the uncontested Republican nominee to change up the way Presidential debates are done.

Host it himself, in a venue that favors him, with moderators and a debate format of his choosing. Perhaps a Trump rally type of audience....and Mark Levin, Candace Owens, Lou Dobbs and Mercedes Schlapp moderating.

Sound a little one-sided? Good. It’s about time!

If the Democrats don’t like it, they can boycott it and he can debate an empty chair... but if it’s Bernie Sanders, I wouldn’t be surprised if he had the balls to show up anyway. Then we’d have a real debate - finally.

Otherwise, the “debates” will continue to be rigged in favor of the Democrat, as always. It’s a joke - I really don’t understand why we put up with it.

This is a great idea and something I have been saying for a long time. We don’t even see debates, what we see are soundbites and talking points. If there were to be a series of debate and each one focused on a particular topic, you might actually get information out of it.
