Trump brings battered, belittled American farmers to the front of the stage in California's Central Valley

President Trump brings razor sharp instincts to the political picture, and nowhere was it more obvious than in his appearance in Bakersfield, California, signing a bill to clean up the junk-science federal "research" on water for the parched Central Valley, and better still, ordering the feds to give California's Central Valley farmers the water for their farms that they already paid for.

According to Politico:

“What they're doing to your state is a disgrace," Trump said. "After decades of failure and delays in ensuring critical water rights for the people of the state, we are determined to finally get your problems solved."

The official water "record of decision" was signed Wednesday, outlining endangered species rules for California's main water hub. Central Valley politicians have railed for years against water restrictions intended to help salmon and smelt that inhabit the Sacramento and San Joaquin rivers and Delta further north.

It came at a time when a tape came out of Democratic standard-bearer Michael Bloomberg belittling American farmers as not having much "grey matter" and along with a smarmy claim that "I could teach everyone in this room how to farm." Really, Mike?

The video of Trump's retort, honoring the farmers, and getting the farmers' roaring support in return, was a thing of beauty:

What I thought was most wonderful was how Trump yielded the podium to several farmers, allowing them to speak the truth they knew with great eloquence.

Since when has a U.S. president allowed the little guys themselves, dressed as they've just come off the farm, authentic as can be -- no Hollywood stylist could do as well -- come out and speak their truth?

Here are some screenshots of the real American farmers Trump brought forward

Mini should try farming for ONE full day. They’d have to call a hearse.

Mini Mike "Anyone can plant a seed and cover it with dirt"

He's right. Anyone can do that. But Try doing that and making a profit in this competitive environment with legislative strangulation that regulates everything you do and how much water you can get. That's a feat Bloomie would struggle with.

Nice to see all of the FFA (Future Farmers of America) kids behind him! :)

CA Farmers have really taken it in the shorts when it comes to Government messing with their livelihood.

Go mess with Hollywood, ya pukes!

Imagine a future where Mother Government just left you the heck alone! Heaven!

I watched the video f the entire speech. It was wonderful and the people who spoke were great. It brings tears of pride to your eyes when you get a chance to see how incredible the average American is.

The actual “hope” for this country gets ZERO notice. I guess because we suck so bad huh? Still waiting for the celebs to move to that ‘better’ country. Guess they’re still looking.

While reading “Charlotte’s Web” as a kid, I dreamed of growing up on a farm. Now I think that I must have had rocks in my head. lol Rigorous life, unappreciated by virtually all elitists and Communists alike.

Yup. Dairy farm..

Up at 5:30 AM, get the cows in and feed them in their stalls. Then prepare the milkers. Then milk the steppin fetchitts. Then, let them out and fill the bunk feeders for them. Then wash the milking equipment. Then, clean the barn..scrape the shit into the gutter, and spread lime on the alleys.

Then go and have breakfast-about 7:30 or 8. Then go out and feed the calves and park the shit spreader under the barn cleaner and turn the barn cleaner on to fill it. Then, take the full spreader out on the fields and spread the manure.

If its hay season, go out and cut hay with the haybine. After its dry, take the baler out with a wagon behind and start baling hay. Then, get that hay put into the barn.

About 5:30 PM..start milking the cows.

This is for a small efficient farm of about 50 milkers.

Oh and BTW, keep an eye on the herd, if there is a sick one or not. Then you have to play vet..or call a vet if its bad.

I would like to see that son of a B give pills to 50 cows for the bloody flux. I did, helped my Father-in-law do it and boy is it ever a chore.

People need to realize what is happening. Farmers in the central valley of California at the feet of the Sierra mountains , some of the most productive farm land in the world are being driven off their land because liberals beholden to globalists are shutting off the water supply. Residents too are being driven out of the state and will be leaving in in greater numbers when Democrats began to force their water rationing plans , 50 gallons per person a day , not even enough water for one long shower..

Meanwhile, water runoff from the Sierra, millions of gallons is allowed to drain out to sea, under the Golden Gate Bridge contaminated with city waist because farmers are being stopped from pumping the water on their fields by phony laws protecting so called wildlife in a ruse to force family farms go under and sell to global entities which in turn some day after their “revolution” will turn the water back on, once all the citizens have been driven off their lands., as this is their plan to destroy us.

No new dams have been built in California for 50 years while in the meantime the population doubled by illegal immigration , which also contributes water issues by design. Meanwhile Liberals claim global warming and drought, and we had better get used to it, while last year CA had one if the wettest rainy and snow-pack season in 20 years, but a great deal of that water just waisted, and flowed out to sea.

Trump’ signing the waver to release the water to the people is a big deal. But I have family who have sold their farm land already , others grasping for water , drilling deeper and deeper , we can only hold on so long. When CA farms go, so does much of our nations ability to feed itself.

State communists in response to Trump lifting federal environmental laws to allow water use for residents and farmers ;
“California won’t allow the Trump Administration to destroy and deplete our natural resources,” California Attorney General Xavier Becerra (D) said in a statement after the speech. “We’re prepared to challenge the Trump Administration’s harmful attack on our state’s critical ecosystems and environment.” ....

Democrats have wanted to starve Republicans in the Central Valley in order to totally control the State.

Awesome. Three of my grandparents, my dad and my mother in law grew up farming. We still own part of the family farm. We live on a small (8 acres) farm where we’re surrounded by crops, cattle, etc. I love farmers. They struggle with so much. I buy local as much as possible. I’m not a hippie either but if you can, buy local. The eggs and meats are so much better. Our goal is eventually to grow all our own veggies but in the spring through fall we go to the farmers market.

Ca overplayed the Salmon card.....year after year after year.

IIRC, Seth Green raised fingerlings and brought them to California....I think about 1830. Don't know what's going on genetically with these Salmon...

What we do know...is that they can be farmed and transplanted. No reason for them to EVER go extinct.

My maternal grandmother as a girl worked on her parents Michigan dairy farm. Took over from my great grandparents. Before them one generation farmed in England.

It was more work than NYC wimps like Mike or the other Dems have ever seen in their lives from what I’ve been told. And no one could say “I’m really sick and have to stay in bed again today so all of you animals just take care of yourselves and feed yourselves today. See how I feel tomorrow.”
