The democrats LOVED the Soviet Union. Russia was great in their eyes. Since they dumped communism the democrats HATE Russia.

See what’s going on? One would have to be blind not to.

Like the time I was at a Trump rally in Tampa during the height of the Trump-Russia collusion hoax, some protesters thought they were slick by blasting Back in the USSR over a boom box. I politely asked one of them if they were aware that at the time the Beatles wrote that, whoever put them up to that foolishness not only didn’t have a problem with the Russians meddling in our affairs but actually encouraged it. Nothing but blank stares.

I picked up on this quite a while ago, it’s like the Russians are traitors of some kind.

The saying “the enemy of my enemy is my friend” carries some weight here.

Thanks for responding to my post. Not too much I can add other than you’re right on target, FRiend Vaquero (although I might also compliment you on a super-cool choice of a FR name).

You remember of course, how Obama — not knowing his mike was hot — told Medvedev to tell Vlady that he would have more flexibility in his second term.

I wonder if that might not apply to Trump as well, with the added kick that Trump is a real dealmaker, not a roll-over weenie like Obama. As I said in my original post, I think an accommodation with the Russkies is a lot more doable than anything worthwhile with the Chicoms.
