There’s a lot of whining about DoJ not pursuing weak cases.
This seems like one they should have pursued.

Is it at all conceivable that they flipped McCabe?Yes, there would have been indictments BEFORE his exoneration. Why cut him loose if the DOJ wasn't sure of a 'return on investment'?

Meanwhile the persecution of Roger Stone continues unabated.
Some things never change.

I fear for the nation. No, perhaps its better to simply say I mourn the nation. Stick a fork in it. Its dead. On one side you have every person trying to destroy our institutions, our Founding Fathers reputations, our Founding principles, and our Founding Documents. They detest law and order, and support full blown anarchy. On the other side, you have people who love this nation, support its institutions, law, and order. Then you have the ruling class which Barr has just declared to be 100% against law and order, and you have it clearly mapped out for you. Just turn the headlights on and get in line. The final resting place is just ahead. Sadly, that was well put.
I share in the mourning of our nation.
So much more was at stake here than just holding these slimeballs accountable.
You're correct, it's our nation and the rule of law - and Barr just threw an interception to the opposing team, who returned it 99 yards for the winning touchdown with no time remaining.

There will be another post down the road from another source that will give us more detail as to why.

We need a serious cleansing in the cesspool called the federal government. It’s infuriating to see this double standard being applied over and over again. Maybe the president wouldn’t tweet about cases if the scumbags handled even one the right way.

No, hes on TV saying the same fraudulent things and calling Trump a traitor to the Country.
McCabes lawyers said right out of the gate, right after referral, they had met with DoJ, and DoJ didnt want to bring any charges.
It was reported, too.

I still say Chris Christie would have been the best AG from the start. I agree. Trump wanted him as well, but was advised not to appoint him because of "Bridge-gate."
First Sessions, and now Barr.
What a debacle.

Don’t worry. Durham will take care of everything. Right, Lucy? Hold that football. I’m sure I’ll kick it this time.

I think this matter was under the USA in DC. I guess lying under oath if you are one of the insiders is OK there. Id love to know whom and the breakdown by party of those on that grand jury. Obviously they could not get an indictment.

Trump better take a deep breath before tweeting about this development. This whole week has been defined by self inflicted wounds that easily could have been avoided with a little restraint.
It’s time to start a new winning streak because fighting with the DOJ in the media is a losing proposition.

My question is, was Barr in on this?
Now I suppose this clown WILL get his pension. And Trump is not supposed to tweet about it??

First Barr goes on ABC and states that he has a problem with President Trump’s tweets, and now he let’s McCabe off the hook scott-free......
It’s time for President Trump to $hitcan Barr ASAP now that he shown his true colors - he’s turning out to be as bad as Sessions. At this point I’m losing faith in Durham as well - both have been at the job for MONTHS now, and despite more than ample evidence of Deep State treason we have yet to see a single Deep Stater or traitorous Dem doing the Perp Walk.
If Trump can’t or won’t fix this then it may be time to do as Thomas Jefferson and George Washington did. General Washington didn’t debate or chit-chat with the British - he shot them.

...The investigation by the U.S. attorneys office in Washington arose from an October 2016 story in The Wall Street Journal that described internal debates roiling the FBI and the Justice Department weeks before the presidential election about how aggressively the Clinton Foundation should be investigated. The article recounted a particularly tense phone call between McCabe and a senior Justice Department official about the investigation....This measely tidbit was all that was investigated?? And he's freed and cleared of everything now?
