Tulsi Gabbard whined that CNN excluded her from their townhall series, but gave Deval Patrick an invite. [Can we say CNN exhibits sexism now?]

The rate Democrat candidates dropping out, CNN probably would be rather happy to have ANYBODY participate in their townhall.

Nobody cares about the 20-30 Democrat debates or exclusive profiles for this and that candidate. All that fake enthusiasm for Dem field shattered by New Hampshire primary last night.

He got 1222 votes last night. Somebody called him up & told him to get his name off the ballot.

His ego was bigger than his brain if he actually thought that he was presidential material.

Obama endorsement and like Warren, came from next door MA. Neither of those factors helped Patrick in NH.

He’s done and the last Democrat black candidate is now gone.

The Democrats are giving everyone their marching orders because the minorities are thinking for themselves and the Democrats might lose the house if money runs too low.

I really thought this guy would do better, but he got absolutely no where. More evidence Dems are racist?

Can you drop out if nobody knew you were in?

I thought he was just getting started.

Coming in late to make himself available as a white knight at the convention to break a multi-candidate deadlock appeared to be his strategy. He couldn't have seriously thought he'd get vote traction in the primaries, entering as late as he did.

So, I'm surprised he dropped out so quickly.

Can it really be said that the voters rejected you if the voters never even heard of you?

This is how stupid the Democratic winnowing process is: Major-state governor, re-elected and term-limited, drops out and no-one heard of him. He happens to be black. But a small-town gay communist mayor gets all the press in the world.

That's a reflection of what the media thinks it is important for us to know.

Obviously, the media is already invested in The Bern, Mayor Pete and the Wicked Witch of Capitol Hill (Klobuchar), with others still trying to prop up Pocohontas and Sleepy Joe. Not much room for anyone else.

But that raises another question: if Obama encouraged Patrick to jump in, he could have followed up by connecting the former governor to donors and others who could help his campaign. That never happened; in fact, you’d be hard-pressed to tell me anything Patrick did on the campaign trail beyond his original announcement.

Not only does this prove Obama has no coattails, it also suggests the slightly-less-insane wing of the Democratic Party is starting to coalesce around Bloomberg. Patrick was (roughly) in the same lane in the road and never got any traction, let alone fund-raising. I think part of it was Patrick’s unrealistic expectations; after Obama’s encouragement, he expected a lot of donors and supporters to come flocking to him, but most of them were already committed or saw nothing inspiring about a campaign that had no money and did virtually nothing.

In hindsight, Patrick was nothing more than an Obama trial balloon that failed badly. Since The Zero has already warned against nominating Sanders, it will be interesting to see when he gets behind Klobuchar, Buttigieg, or Bloomberg, since Biden’s days are clearly numbered.

Meanwhile, Trump got 45,000 more votes in New Hampshire yesterday than Bernie, and 50,000 more than Buttigieg. In fact, he got more votes than any incumbent president running for re-election in the past 40 years. The most-ignored statistic coming out of New Hampshire

As I recall, Deval had no more than three people show up for his campaign kickoff rally (not counting Fake News reporters)—LMAO!!! You’d think that event alone would have brought him to his senses.

This goes to show an endorsement from Bath House Barry has minimal value.

Formidable? LOL

His first act as governor was to turn down the state supplied car and order a Cadillac SUV. That earned him the title Coupe Deval.

I live in MA and do not believe there is a term limit for governors. Deval won in 2006 (taking over for Romney who left voluntarily after one term) and 2010.Repub in Name Only Charlie
Baker was elected in 2014 and 2018.Patrick did not choose to run in 2014.

Wikipedia says there is no term limit for MA governors. Mike Dukakis won in 1974, 1982, and 1986.He lost to Ed King in 1978. He chose not to run in 1990 and Repub-INO Bill Weld won in 90.

Another aspect of the Electoral College is that the VP is often picked so as to provide the greatest number of “favorite-son” electoral votes for the prospective presidential candidate.

So which does the leading candidate pick?

A minority VP, or,

The best electoral VP?

(Massachusetts isn’t it).
