A second Department of Justice (DOJ) prosecutor who recommended Roger Stone be sentenced to seven to nine years in prison left the case Tuesday after reports that officials would seek to reduce the sentencing request.
In a one-sentence filing to the court, lawyer Jonathan Kravis announced his resignation as an assistant U.S. attorney and therefore no longer represents the government in the case. Kravis's announcement came shortly after a similar withdrawal by prosecutor Aaron Zelinsky.
Both attorneys were involved in providing the initial sentencing guidance, which was sharply criticized by President Trump, raising questions about potential political interference in the sentencing of Stone. Stone was found guilty of lying to Congress and witness tampering.

An anti-Torah Jew is just like all other leftist miscreants. They see themselves as the bold creators of a new, humanistic code of ethics, that is up to date and far better than that old, fuddy-duddy Bible. To them, the poison of the Judeo-Christian tradition is the real enemy, and that Tradition must be destroyed. This they will do; they will destroy the source of true Liberty, even though they have nothing comparable to put in its place. So they parade their new god of decadent freedom in our streets and libraries, and cram it down the throats of our children even though it will lead to their personal and our national destruction. The blind are leading the blind. Warn your children about the Left and teach them about the One True G-d, so that they may live free.
A third quits: Adam Jed
Jeds notable casework includes arguing in defense of then-secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius in 2014 in the Supreme Court case of Little Sisters of the Poor v. Sebelius. The case challenged the contraceptive insurance requirement under ObamaCare. Jed also argued, before the Supreme Court, to strike down the definition of marriage between a man and a woman in the Defense of Marriage Act in the United States v. Windsor.
That’s just plain funny, it’s lots of other things, but still LOL.
Send the prosecutors to the Wuhan crematorium.
It’s sickening when you thinks how few they sent (i.e. zero) to rescue our Benghazi heroes; yet how many to arrest an elderly dandy in his pjs and scare his wife half to death.
Torture should be permitted against prosecutors before they receive the death penalty.
Now up to three quitters.
Best Tweet ever!
Now four. Good riddance!
Couple that with 70 let go at the NSC, really winning!
Federal codes are brutal. You can go to prison for 5 years for storing RoundUp incorrectly or mixing it wrongly. Read the label.
“Why are these prosecutors obsessed with making sure this man dies in prison for what are effectively process crimes based on a hoax investigation?”
presumably to take revenge for failing to take down President Trump ...
This is welcomed news
I hardly intended to start a movement.
Well if lying to the DOJ is good for 7-9 years in prison, these 4 attorneys should start getting fitted for their stripes.
Might be better than that. The US attorney for DC when Flynn was prosecuted just got dropped through the trap door.
Lying to congress is a crime, lying to the FBI is a crime. I really don't remember when this started but why is it a crime to lie to an agency that asks questions about something you may not have an answer to?
Corruption aside, I thought we had to be under oath to tell the truth while facing serious jail time
FBI should be replaced.
Warn your children about the Left and teach them about the One True G-d, so that they may live free.
Done, and done.
They already know that one of my great grandfathers had all of the work of his entire lifetime stolen by the Communists in Russia, and that they later murdered him by beating him to death when he was in his mid-70s and had cancer. They further know that my grandfather was pretty miserable for his entire life because his family was split apart by the Communists, and he knew that the majority of his family that was left in Russia was living a lousy life ( and he knew nothing of how his father died until he visited what was left of his family in 1969 - and only recently have I learned this, and understand why he cried like a baby when speaking to my father about his trip - I will NEVER forgive the Left for that). They know what a bunch of utter liars and deluded fools the Leftists are in this country, and I frequently speak with them about the consequences of those people ever again getting the reins of power in their hands.
Regarding a religious education, they are both very aware of their heritage, and of the reasons behind it. It has not been a perfect education, and of course all of us are quite imperfect in how we live our lives, but they are far more cognizant of their religious heritage then most of their peers.
I often tell them if they can learn something from everyone that they meet, or whom they observe. Sometimes they can learn what to do, and quite a bit more often (especially with Leftists, and especially the JINO versions thereof) they can learn what NOT to do.
Thanks much for your kind and informative words.
I agree with your analysis. Nonetheless, it is not pleasant to be associated with people like those prosecutors, based on characteristics with which you were born. We are, to a certain extent, our brothers keepers, so it is disturbing to know that people with whom you should have a lot in common are, in fact, the opposite.
That all said, I despise tribal politics. Things like skin color, gender, place of family origin, religion and all other irrelevant factors should have no place in determining ones political beliefs, or which candidate you favor in any given election. I know of many of my coreligionists who voted for Gore in 2000 because Lieberman was on the ticket. What many of them did not, and still do not, understand is that he would have been utilized as a fig leaf by Gore to cover many actions that would have harmed Israel and the Jewish people, because thats who the Democrats are. They were, in my opinion, complete fools. Such are the wages of tribal politics.
