Thanks for your reply - and I had no idea that your were a fellow MOT (not that such really makes a difference to this subject - the corona virus).

I agree (and have said on this and other threads) that we shouldn’t go around with our hair on fire. IOW, don’t get caught up in the media hype. But doing the prepping thing is smart (and also Biblical, but that’s for another day and topic), as is taking simple but effective precautions for this (and other) diseases. Stuff like washing your hands more often, keeping away from sick people as much as possible and keeping your (HaShem-given) immune system in the best possible condition.

I absolutely agree - we mere humans can only do so much...but we SHOULD do those things. The rest is in HaShem’s hands.

Oops, sorry, I only now just looked at your homepage. So you’re not a MOT...but you’re definitely a righteous gentile. Thanks for everything.

Absolutely true - listen and understand. Psalm 20:2 comes to mind: ב יַעַנְךָ יְהֹוָה בְּיוֹם צָרָה יְשַׂגֶּבְךָ שֵׁם אֱלֹהֵי יַעֲקֹב׃ In other words, 2 "May Hashem answer you in time of trouble, the name of G-d keep you safe." Poor translation, but the best I can do. Yes, by all means do everything you can to preserve and protect the vessel that Hashem has given you. But find no angst or fear about what will come. I am a two time survivor of Cancer (colon and liver). I have been on the transplant list and taken my name off because the cancer is gone (doesn't mean that I won't in the future). I do everything that I can and what I am told to do, but I also get a true blessing from Hashem when I do go through these tribulations. I have faced death many times, and yet I do not fear it. I am not a stoic, yet I am never closer to the G-d of Abraham, Issac and Jacob than when I am facing a dire prognosis. It is a blessing, not a curse, although I do not seek tribulation in order to increase my faith. Hashem provides it in all cases. I also detest the falsehoods and deception that are thrust upon us. There is a plot to destroy our Constitutional, Representative Republic, and the easiest way it is done is to cause people's faith to wane. Therefore, I never believe anything that I read in the media, but try to winnow out the few kernals of truth that they leave in order to give their stories the 'appearance' of legitimacy. I am not a scoffer, but a believer in Hashem and skeptical of man's efforts.
