Cremation of a dead body is carried out at a temperature ranging between 1400 to 1800 degrees Fahrenheit. The intense heat helps reduce the body to its basic elements and dried bone fragments. It takes between 1.5 to 3hrs.

Bingo.

You are asking the right questions.

Cremation is the normal default in China, so “hundreds” may not be anything more than business as usual.

Just got a report on another thread from a Freeper whose wife speaks Mandarin - they saw a leaked video claiming the Wusan area has 10 crematoriums and one place is burning 280 bodies a day ... and all the other places where working just as hard - that’s 2800-3000 deaths a day!

The hundreds a day is only referring to ONE crematorium. There are many more crematoriums in Wuhan.

He is in exile. His facts are way different from the ones we are hearing from the CCP. All you need to know really.

No one really sure what will happen in the rest of the world. Incubation now said to be 21 days and we are letting them go free at 12 days.

Watch the video. Crematoria usually operate 4 hours a day. Now they are going nonstop.

Democrats vote counters, doing new math on the number dead versus those cremated?

What is the “fuel” for all these cremations?
How long before they start running dry of this fuel?

Saw a meme that I can’t find right now showing Hong Kong in December with throngs in the streets holding American flags vs now... nothing. Got me thinking...

Communist Board Meeting:

Communist 1: Protests for freedom are spreading from Hong Kong and starting to take root in other areas! What do we do?

Communist 2: How about a crackdown?”

Communist 1: That didn’t go over well after Tianamin Square. We’re supposed to be more “civilized.”

Communist 2: I’ve got it! Release one of our viruses...one of the milder ones, of course... flu-like symptoms... but fast-spreading.

Communist 1: How does that help?

Communist 2: The world will beg us to take “drastic” measures to contain it! We first quarantine entire cities—isolate the problem. Then, we “collect” the problem people and remove them... permanently.

Communist 1: “Problem” people?

Communist 2: Yes. Problem solved.

We have a funeral home that was allowed to do on site cremations in almost the center of our small town. Smells terrible. Unique, nothing like the steak house a few blocks away! The smoke tends to sink like coal smoke and you don’t want to be around it when the wind is blowing your way. Safe to say that this is what Auschwitz smelled like.

“Exiled Chinese billionaire Guo Wengui says true death toll closer to 50k, 1.5 million infected coronavirus cases”

Those numbers better match some of the other stuff coming out of china, considering that the relative handful of daily announced deaths - still less than a hundred (and less than 50/day at the end of Jan), would otherwise just be a small blip for a city the size of Wuhan.

Among my questions are:

Why are funeral homes cremating 24/7, even back in late Jan?
Why so much pollution for a state and province that is locked down?
Why pictures of bodies in late Jan, if only 20 or so were dying per day?
Why the funny numbers that ticked out at the end of Jan (showing 10 to 100 times as many cases and dead)
Why were doctors talking about it early Dec., if it didn’t exist officially for another month?
Why was it that random people from Wuhan who left the area infected others, considering that the total number of announced cases was under 200 (for the case of the Singapore Hilton)?

At 600F - BBQ aromas. At 1400F, probably like burning coal.

numbers from Zhonghan Univ Hospital, study period Jan 1-31. 138 patients, JAMA paper Feb 7.
https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2761044?c

Did not require ICU and have not died: 102 = 74% but 85 remain hospitalized = 62%

Discharged by Feb 3: 47 = 34%; avg hosp stay 10 days
Remain hospitalized: 85 = 62%
Casualties: 6 (4.3%)(ICU deaths) (30-day period)

ICU admissions: 36 = 26%
ICU - Transferred out to general ward: 10 = 37%
ICU deaths: 6/36 = 17% (preexisting/shock/organ failure)

Overall mortality: 4.3% (ICU deaths will bring up avg) (and also this would be hospital admitted mortality rate not public mortality rate)

To reach 600/day mortality from hospitals with the figures above, could we multiply 138 x 100 for a patient load of 13,800 with 600 admitted each day to keep things static with the overall mortality still at 4.3% and a 17% mortality rate of the 26% admitted to ICU? Is this right? But we need to know how many hospitals the 600 is spread over because a daily patient load of 14K is a lot of beds and 600 is a lot of daily admissions.
If we look at a 600/day mortality as a combination of untreated deaths at home and hospital deaths then can’t we guestimate the number of infected overall, then number of seriously ill, and the number of untreated and the number of mild infected/recovered overall?

...found that adding up the total number of people cremated per day in several funeral homes yielded a significantly larger number than the official number of deaths tallied since the outbreak began in December.

Not a surprise...

And as I said there would typically be 1200 deaths or so a day in wuhan province.. and about 250 a day typically in the city itself.

Unlike America where you are dealing with a market based number of crematoriums you are dealing with a centralized controlled economy crematoriums.. so if typical day in the province is 1200 a day killed several hundred a day creamated is baseline and based on the number of them being controlled by the state I would doubt the cut has too many of the. Nor the province.

You need CONTEXT, just throwing out numbers means nothing.
