This is why I do not understand why people seem to think that unions are about "Protecting the American Worker". It is nonsense. The unions were the ones who put the kibosh on ICE raids at workplaces and if you hired an illegal with false papers in a regular plant you could fire him. In a union plant that was not considered grounds to fire him.
The unions are interest in one thing, union dues and it is easier to force illegals into a union then normal Americans.
I hope not. Every Republican in Congress should be supporting this bill. How long would it be before these very same illegal immigrants found themselves out of a job? Quick. This bill, full of Socialist/Liberal/Democrat Good Intentions will be just like everything else the Left does, a complete disaster. They think it’ll solve all sorts of problems. It will only cause more and at the end of the day, employers won’t hire illegals as they’ll be more trouble than they are worth.
Sure, the first few that sue will get paid, after that the rest will be on the proverbial “unemployment line” and it’ll also be a great way for ICE to find folks to deport. It’s a Win-Win in every way.

At the rate the House is passing such rediculous bills it’s no wonder Mitch doesn’t bring their bills to the Senate floor! Sounds like all they want to do is pass a lot of bills so they can say they’ve been working.

They would have to win it back by a lot to beat a veto. I don’t think that will happen.
I support the bill. I wish it allowed for treble damages and attorney’s fees. Every employer who hires illegal aliens should be sued into oblivion.
I’m glad for the correction. Now if we could just get FReepers in general from using ‘than’ when they should use ‘then’ and vice versa...
