Oh go pound salt. No one in NJ has anything to do with who Virginians voted into office in Richmond. We're NOT ALL liberals up here.

Agree with you. Thank God for Winston Churchill. Likely the greatest man of the 20th Century.

Indeed it does, and it does not state anything near what you stated in post 22.

Germany declared war on the USA in 1941, for example; nothing to do with Churchill.

Robert E. Lee chose the side he did out of loyalty to his state more than the Confederacy at large; if Virginia had joined the North, he would have fought for the North. That can be regarded as a fault of character on that point perhaps, but he was not the leader of the Confederacy by far.

Robert E. Lee did not believe in slavery....but he did believe in States rights.

Uh, he owned slaves. In letters he writes he shows a distaste for it by calling them laborers or servants, never slaves, as if in his mind slavery was just another form of employment. But he didn't free them.

Robert E. Lee was a commissioned officer in the US Army and took an oath to defend the Constitution of The United States. All of what comprised The United States of America at that time, not just the Commonwealth of Virgina. And Churchill was a devious drunk who was real chummy with Old Joe Stalin at one point, he was a monarchist who was trying his best, always, to preserve some notion of a Pax Britannia that by 1940 was dying out. He was always desperate to America into the world for that purpose.

Robert E. Lee did not believe in slavery

Who cares if he did or not? Much our the history of the US, and not just the South had a hand in slavery from shipping to selling to labor to making money related to it in some form or fashion.

The US had slavery until the civil war. Are we going wage war on the founders and anyone else who had slaves or made money on anything to do with slavery? Are we going to bastardize our history into some sort of evil nation that should be disdained and destroyed?

Oh my goodness! Is that really the best you can muster against Churchill?
If our back was to the wall, our national existence threatened with imminent extinction, I’d cozy up or entice anyone who might help. And I mean ANYONE. In particular, Churchill’s ant-communist bona fides were unimpeachable. Greatest man of the 20th century, IMO

Pearl Harbor happened because we were playing “Let’s you and him fight” between the Japanese and the Chinese.

The Japanese felt that everyone was cool with white folks going in and carving up China, but as soon as *they* did what the British and Germans were doing they were held to a different standard.

If we hadn’t have embargoed them, they wouldn’t have attacked.

The last war we needed to fight was in 1812. The form of any other government, the relationship between any other government and its people, and the state of hostilities between any other nations should be no business of ours.

We should have just taken all the Jews (and others) we could that the Germans just wanted to be rid of.

Robert Taft was right, then and now.

In 1940 no one was threatening the United States. Americans were overwhelmingly isolationist. The greatest’’man’’ in the 20th. century was the American soldier.

What evidence do you have that Churchill was “chummy” with Stalin in any way, shape or form?? The man was the definition of anti-communist; his thoughts on a united Europe bear that out, particularly believing that the UK should be the guiding force of such an entity (“if the Russians built it, there would be communism and squalor; if it were built by the Germans, there would be tyranny and brute force”). Stop reading revisionist history, whatever source it may be. Also, stop using “monarchist” as a slur; it becomes such when referring to absolute monarchy rather than constitutional. (Jesus is not coming back to earth as President of Presidents, but King of Kings.)

Living in NJ is poisoning your mind, with all due respect, especially when your posts border on apologetics of national socialism of all monstrosities. I got out of NJ myself 17 years ago, so I know of what I speak when it comes to one’s mind being poisoned by that state.

BTW, Lee did resign his commission in the US Army after being offered a commission by Francis P. Blair; this act released him from his oath. Lee’s stated reason (or excuse, depending on perspective perhaps) was that he did not want “to draw (his) sword upon Virginia, (his) native state”.

.....Churchill was a drunk who....

Many people in power have been unrighteously called being a drunk by those in the in the opposite political party and or people jealous of their power whether they are over them or under them.
Ulysses S. Grant was accuseed of being a drunk by those over him that were jealous of him getting all the attention of him winning battles, Abraham Lincoln eventually saw through their phony bull crap and fire those phony chair side generals over Gen Grant and replaced them with Gen Grant and joked about it by asking "what brand of whiskey Grant drank", he wanted to know so he could send a few barrels to his generals that were to afraid to fight.

Look at his association with Old Joe before the war and prior to America’s involvement in it. Yes he later became an anti-Communist but he didn’t always have that view. As a younger man he first ran as a MP as a socialist. And I have NO love for the British monarchy at any time in it’s history or now. We chased them out of here-twice.

True enough. My fathers ancestors were shipped here a criminal indentures for sheep stealing after they lost their tenancy in the second wave of agricultural enclosures. They were sold to a rice planter in South Carolina for an ‘indefinite term’ and were set to work with the blacks and the Irish and I suppose Welsh, who were sold by the boatload to the Proprietors of SC. Considering what I have found out about my relatives in England (they became (East Enders) I am so thankful and happy for that lengthy indenture experience.

First, the SCV shouldn’t compromise on anything. They will take the compromise and shove it up their rectums. Second, NJ should be given to the crows because of the people there that post upon this forum and let the crows have it, Felix the Cat was right. To the NJ poster, bless your little heart. Third, MLK,Jr., true story about his plagiarism, adultery, and communistic attributes need to be publicized. Liberals and Democrats need to be put on the defensive and let them try to defend the truth without showing their sheer hypocrisy.

The North has so much respect for their heroes and history that the U.S. Grant National Library has been relocated to Starkville, Mississippi.
