I think that they will run their own candidate and it will be someone like Tulsi Gabbard. The Democrats have to choose between letting Bernie Sanders run, and using the opportunity to permanently destroy his faction or stealing his nomination and trying to keep the House of Representatives.
Looks like they are going to try to save the House at the cost of a permanent split from the farthest left faction.
