They need more hunting especially of deer. Too many deer are killing off the local vegetation.

I have a small acreage, but enough to hunt.

I enjoy hunting but hate gutting and butchering. So I don’t hunt any more.

I let a couple of friends deer hunt with the condition I get a quarter.

Last year they got two, so almost half a deer for me (traded some for some wild hog baby pork chops; yum!).

I think one of the biggest setbacks is how many hunters can’t find hunting land without big dollars to join some club.

There are so many land owners around me with no trespassing signs. I can’t say I blame them. It is what it is.

Too many wild feral hogs (mixed Russian boar and tame hogs gone wild) are hit by cars and pickups. Usually with heavy damage to the vehicle.

And too many fields of grain destroyed by hogs. It is impossible with heavy hunting pressure, traping, and even hunting from helicopters to control the population. Much less to eliminate them.

The gun grabber can simply forget that crap in Texas. Not going to happen. Ever. “Period”

Add to that the number of vehicle/deer collisions.

The main cause of that here in Michigan is the growing number of subdivisions being built in wooded areas which are forcing the deer to survive in the wooded pockets that are left standing.

Where I live, there's a wooded area at the south end of my complex that is only about a tenth of a mile square with an eight lane highway on the south side of that. There's five deer in there that I have seen and it's only a matter of time before one of them gets hit in the traffic. It happens every year.......

Depends where you are located. Pennsylvania deer hunting is nowhere the quality it once was. Tags for this, extra permits for this, and lots of money getting squandered by the Fish & Game Commission.
