There are currently 9,171 confirmed cases worldwide, including 213 fatalities.
The problem is the lack of real data coming out of China. I’m don’t for a second believe they would quarantine 53 million people for 9000 cases and 200 deaths. It was even less than that when they shut things down. In regard to outbreaks, China has always downplayed things until they couldn’t hide it.
We will know soon enough what this virus does now that it’s elsewhere. Personally, I don’t even try to compare it to our current flu. This is a new virus and it’s apples and oranges at this point, I know that there is enough unknown to prep now rather than later.
So far I Can’t find any info about the travel history of the first two UK cases....it just says from the same family staying at a hotel
I assume there are Chinese tourists...
eventually there is going to be an international case with no travel history to China and no contact with others infected
in other words..an unknown person infecting others

My wife and I were just discussing this last night @ supper. She’s a Filipina, and an excellent cook, which means, as I told her recently, “I like almost everything you make unless it’s too salty for me, or it is repulsive.” (That last is usually the stuff that starts with a “B”.)
But for the record, no Filipino/a that I know eats bats! (Maybe some of the really poor do.)
More to the point, the vast majority of Westerners and those with strong Western influence (such as Filipinos) have a sort of visceral fright of and disgust for bats. Why? Yes, in literature and legend, there’s the whole vampire / Dracula thing, but where did that come from? Our religious roots say little about bats. (Unlike snakes!) It is almost as if that repulsion to bats is instinctive, genetic, “bred in the bone”, so to speak. Why? Rabies? Rabies bites would probably be few. Is it some “racial memory” of devastating plagues far in the past, when Caucasians were often in close contact with bats? Why do the Chinese (to a large extent) NOT share this instinctive repulsion?
Rats and mice are a similar story, tho’ not quite as drastically so, for most. Hmmm...

There are a heck of a lot of old Freepers on here. Barring weaponized bat virus, most should be able to annoy libtards for many years to come.

Interesting to remember that this originated in China that actually forces women to abort and murder their unborn children. Keep that in mind when listening to these liars numbers on the virus. They already have a complete disregard for life.
