Abigail Disney has weighed in on Kobe Bryant's controversial past, after actress Evan Rachel Wood and a Washington Post journalist were berated for tweeting about a rape allegation against him from 2003, just hours after his death in a helicopter crash Sunday.
Disney - whose grandfather Roy O. Disney co-founded The Walt Disney Company - tweeted: 'I haven't said anything about Kobe so far because I felt some time needed to pass before weighing in. But yes, it's time for the sledgehammer to come out. The man was a rapist. Deal with it.'

The first sentence is your opinion, you weren't there and have no facts to prove it.
Bryant NEVER admitted he raped her, he said it was consensual but she claimed rape.

Not me. Entirely different circumstances. The Duke situation and the Kavanaugh scenario were both in semi-public settings where there were others who could have corroborated the facts (in Kavanaugh's case there wasn't any facts because the witness could not even recall dates or locations).
What happened with Bryant and his accuser was solely between them and the forensic evidence which points in both directions. There were no possible eyewitnesses.

She delivered her body to an NBA star in his hotel room the way we get pizza delivered. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. He was never convicted of a crime and she got a pay off for the rough sex she invited. If anybody got a raw deal here it was Bryant.

Let’s say the defense claim that she consented at the beginning is true. Then he grabs her by the throat and rapes her. The defense claims the fact that she had sex with someone else later is proof that he didn’t rape her.
The analogy is to someone who invites you over for a luxe dinner. He force feeds you a bowl of generic matter from his septic tank instead. Then he suggests that you consented to dining on the scum from his cesspit. Why? Because you went out the next day and had a proper meal to wash the taste of that muck out of your mouth.
The defense argument is complete crap even if she consented at the beginning and it’s not clear that she did consent. What’s equally likely is that she was fooled by the pleasant facade put on by black athletes to make them more endorsement-friendly than the murky reality beneath, and trusted him to behave like a typical white guy, athlete or not, and refrain from raping her when she objected. She was wrong.
The fact that the prosecutor wanted to go after Bryant, in the face of black privilege, potential accusations of racism against him and Bryant’s OJ-scale defense team funded with tens of millions of dollars suggests that he thought the case was strong enough for him to avoid being humiliated the way Marcia Clark was. Kobe Bryant escaped because the psychologically fragile victim (veteran of 1 suicide attempt) couldn’t go through the stress of getting raked over the coals and threatened with physical harm by NBA fans like you nationwide.

That is almost certainly what happened. She withdrew consent mid sex act. Being a young celebrity who had endless groupies he was not able to control himself at that point.
I think an important point here is there are no serial allegations against Bryant. From all accounts he made a mistake and learned from it. I was never a Lakers or “Kobe” fan but I’m not going to judge him based on that one incident.
