Allowing immediate enforcement is a very good sign that ultimately they will rule in Trump’s favor.

This is not a new policy. No immigrants were admitted at Ellis Island unless they could prove they would not become a “public charge.”. When my ancestors arrived in Galveston in 1868, they had to have proof that they had purchased land in Texas before they could disembark. This would be a far better country had we stuck to those sensible policies.

It may be a controversial new policy, but it is an old LAW going back decades.
We just did not have a President that sided with the citizens and the rule of law.

How does this affect illegals? Especially in places like California.

I was required to personally guarantee my wife would not become a Public Charge for 10 years when we got her a green card

The Supreme Court said Monday it will allow the Trump administration to begin enforcing a controversial new policy making it harder for low-income legal immigrants to obtain green cards or visas.

"The public charge concept was first established by Congress in 1882 in order to allow the U.S. government to deny a U.S. visa to anyone who 'is likely at any time to become a public charge' . . . "

Only someone with advanced Trump Derangement Syndrome would refer to following an 1882 law as "a controversial new policy". The globalist left is both disgusting and shockingly dishonest.

Note that these things DO NOT happen in a vacuum. This was a 5-4 vote of the Supreme Court, and the ONLY REASON that we have the 5 votes on our side is that enough Conservatives held their noses and voted for RINOs for US Senate in prior November elections.

They sucked it up, and because of THOSE Conservatives who still VOTED for the RINOs (rather than being ‘principled’, in some way, and sitting out the election), Gorsuch and Kavenaugh are on the Supreme Court, and pretty much voting with us, as they did here.

Had THOSE Conservatives gotten their way and let their Democrat opponents win the elections (to ‘teach the Republican Party a lesson, of some kind?), we’d have Shuemer running the Senate and Trump would be lucky to get a clone of Ginsberg seated.

The above is a FACT OF LIFE, so sorry if it upsets people.
