Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., Tuesday called on former national security adviser John Bolton to hold a press conference to expand on a New York Times bombshell report that claimed Bolton wrote in his upcoming book that President Trump explicitly tied $391 million in Ukrainian military aid to investigating the Bidens.
John, youve kind of thrown the country into a ditch here, Graham told Fox News' Martha MacCallum. Just come forward and say whats on your mind, hold a news conference and well consider what youve got to say if you think its that important."...
He added that even if what Bolton said Trump did was true it wouldnt be an impeachable offense.

Shut up, Lindsey. A press conference is no more testimony than is the hearsay weve already got.
I think theres a good chance Bolton was one of the Whistleblowers sources.
The off-limits treatment of the Whistleblower may be the reason for Boltons change of position on Testifying.
.
Linda first said he wants the manuscript.
Now he says he wants a press conference.
He is all over the map, as usual.
Albertas Child to John Bolton: Submit a sworn affidavit, or shut up and jump off a bridge.
I take that to mean the usual suspects currently are going to vote for more witnesses unless something changes. Unreal how the Democrats can run the same playbook every time and the same chumps fall for it every time. I also can’t believe Bolton is someone I once admired. What a punk.
You know its bad when Alex Marlow on Breitbart Radio talks negatively about Boltons recent disappearing act - he interviewed him weekly for at least 100 times as Marlow estimated. Bolton could always go on that show to explain if he wanted to!
“Unreal how the Democrats can run the same playbook every time and the same chumps fall for it every time. “
I was thinking along similar lines yesterday. At some point you would think that your eyes would open that you are a ‘mark’. How do you like being a mark all the time? Every time the media needs a certain type of opinion, they come straight for Romney, Collins, Murkowski. Every time! That’s being a mark. But, they long for the fawning media so much, they don’t care, even though they are just being used.
I agree with Linda this time.
Bolton should have made a public statement to clear the air when this first happened.
Wouldnt it be grand if the manuscript was edited with some insertions they knew would get leaked. Then when they see the leak, they frogmarch a guy out of the whitehouse (like last Friday). Then when it is time to actually read the book or get testimony, the leaks were completely wrong?
One can hope and dream
My hope and dream, if Bolton is the snake, is that his manuscript is subpoenaed and read in its entirety into the public record. So much for his book sales....
I dont know why everyone is making a big deal about this. The book Im writing is a NOVEL.
I'm not sure on that, but I do think the "what changes" part is heavily made up of public perception.
The public has accepting the framing of "fair trial." That's a fairly compelling frame of the issue because simple-minded people are drawn to it. But it is not the right frame for this issue.
The fence sitting senators are implying that they think it would not be extraordinary for the senate to remove Trump over his "conduct." Scare quotes, because the basis asserted for removal is what he is alleged to have on his mind, not what he did.
They are implying this question cannot be decided without more evidence. They need more information on what the president said (not what he did but what he said), and depending on that, they would find it reasonable to remove even if they they say they would vote the other way.
Another framing is on a separate issue, that of agreeing to a world where the Senate is the dumping ground for deficient House process.
I notice a near complete absence of debate over whether or not this process has been fair to the president. The arguments advanced by the president's team are summarily dismissed, no discussion. There are numerous issues embedded there, and my take away is that the senate does not disapprove of the deficiencies in ICIG, Russian collusion hoax, or even subjecting Trump to impeachment.
Sham process is to be expected - we have a fundamentally sham government.
“Sham process is to be expected - we have a fundamentally sham government. “
Yep. The Leviathan intends to remove the President. Right now the only question remaining is what are the people of the United States going to do about it.
I’m going to be a little contrary here. Everyone assumes Bolton will torpedo Trump if he is called to testify. First executive privilige stands in the way, second Bolton’s testimony if heard may support Trump and further undermine Schiff’s case. Third Trump may be pulling a “rope a dope” strategy here. Just because the demonicrats are counting on Bolton’s testimony to be the kill shot doesn’t mean they have the inside track, their absolute propaganda tsunami tells me they know they’re screwed.
Exactly! The reason the GOP has anyone wanting to see Bolton testify is to give the appearance of ‘fairness’. It will not change one vote. Some phony poll out there saying that 75% of the people want witnesses! And that over 50% want Trump removed! GOP playing to polls and not to reality. A week from now this will all be forgotten
“Third Trump may be pulling a rope a dope strategy here.”
The only “dopes” in this whole fiasco are the usual so-called Republican “mavericks” and the weakling GOP “leadership” who can’t, or more likely won’t, handle them.
Unreal how the Democrats can run the same playbook every time and the same chumps fall for it every time.

The MSM/DNC is stuck in the past, reliving their glory days of Watergate. Watergate was a half-century ago.
The simpler explanation is that they arent a mark but a knowing and willing opportunist for their own ends.
There’s a good possibility you are right.
