Under the plan, the Palestinians would have to reach certain benchmarks to achieve a state. Those benchmarks include rooting out terrorism, stopping what they call “pay to slay,” implementing steps toward free speech, and other political reforms.

They were previously offered a deal meeting 95% of their demands and still refused. Methinks they don’t want peace, they just want an already-developed country handed over to them without them having had to lift one ignorant throwback finger. Sort of like stealing someone’s title to their house and moving right in. Nice for you if you can do it.
I can see where this will be unacceptable to the Pals. They would be expected to act like civilized human beings.
Pals want a state of eternal war. recognizing Israel’s right to exist is not possible for filthy terrorist scum.

We can hope that the announcement was made to properly educate those who point the finger at Israel.

I think this is very promising and it depends entirely on the Palis now. Do they really want a state, or do they just want to be a dysfunctional band of idiots living on international donations? When I was in Bethlehem last year, we drove through the outskirts where the people live - garbage and squalor - and then looped through the “government square,“ where the PA has built itself a lovely marble government building and where the officials live quite comfortably. In between their international travels, of course.
The Palestinian head honchos are doing fine as is, and the people are too dumb and manipulated to oppose them.

Exactly! I say, if they want a recognized “state” then they should have to develop what other states have.
That includes:
1. Its own infrastructure. (electric, sewer and other utilities)
2. Its own monetary system.
3. The means to maintain above.
Why should they be allowed to use Israel’s infrastructure for their separate state?
I guess they're suggesting that the capitol of the Palestinian state will not be in the Palestinian state.

I read Trump describe his relationships with some newscasters: great friend of Lou Dobbs, close with Hannity, but Trump said he made an error with Cavuto he regrets. Cavuto is Sr. V.P. of FBN and FNC & recently told Trump “Fox does not work for you”.
The squeaky wheel gets the grease... i.e.: for as long as they DO NOT have a so-called “state”, they will be getting a guaranteed cash flow from western countries to line their pockets without any need to work.
