While kings and presidents came to get their pictures taken, Texas governor offered genuine support
We all know that one simply doesnt mess with Texas.
Texas is now warning that anyone who messes with the Jewish state will likewise earn the ire of the Lone Star State.
While the visiting kings and presidents of the Western world were busy trying to be seen ahead of this weeks Holocaust commemoration event, Texas Governor Greg Abbott quietly visited a week earlier to show his support for Israel in a much more practical way.
The primary reason for Abbotts visit was to scout for new Israeli technology for Texas to either invest in or purchase.
The trip was facilitated by Start-Up Nation Central, a local non-profit that exists to connect Israeli innovations with the people and regions that need them most.
Texas is already one of Israels biggest trade partners, and vice versa, and Abbott vowed that would continue.
There is a connection between business in Israel and Texas that make both Israel and Texas far better, he told the gathering in Tel Aviv.

And Texas and Israel have a strong bond.
God Bless Texas, God Bless Israel
Agree, Abbott is GREAT and he’s likeable enough that he doesn’t have trouble staying in office (i.e., winning elections)!
Texas is like a whole nother country.
The previous Governors of Texas, Perry and Bush, imported large numbers of people who are enemies of Israel who now live in Texas.
I would love to see Abbott run for POTUS in 2024.
I grew up 14 miles from Governor Perry. Knew his father, know his mother and have never met Rick. His family moved to this county about 3 years prior to my ancestors. We came in 1889.
Governor Perry was a good governor. He made some bad calls, but he was a solid friend of Israel.
Texas has not been a separate entity for close to 200 years (1845). This headline is ridiculous hype and it is really not helpful to the Israeli people to exaggerate the assistance received from various entities. So this magazine title is fluffy hype; you want to go along with it you are not going to scare anybody. Whatever real economic, technical, or other assistance rendered by Texas or Texans will undoubtedly be gratefully accepted.
Likeable? Yes. But he is a great governor and in spite of his handicap, he has the guts to make tough reasoned decisions.
He is the best governor in my lifetime.
Yes Sir. It is. Thank you.
Yes. One of my ancestors was born in Texas during the Republic.
The first foreign branch of Texas A&M University was in Israel, under the administration of Governor Rick Perry.
Why encourage muslim immigration?
For a moment I thought I read,
“Texas is like a whole mother country.”
Guess what, I agree with that, too. God bless Texas!
Probably more pressing issues for Texas besidesf kissing up to a foreign country.
Thsnk you sir. My fiancee just loves that song.
She is smiling.
No reason that I know of.
