Supreme Court allows lawsuit against Flint city officials to advance (Flint Water Crisis)

The Supreme Court will allow a lawsuit to move forward against Flint, Mich., officials over their role in the city's public health crisis following its decision to switch water sources in 2014.

The court said on Tuesday it would not hear an appeal from city officials after lower courts denied their efforts to have the case dismissed.

After the city's decision to change water sources from Lake Huron to the Flint River, which had been widely considered to be contaminated, Flint residents reported widespread cases of hair loss, skin rashes, Legionnaire's disease and lead poisoning.

Twelve people died from Legionnaire's disease in the aftermath.

The case was brought in 2016 by Shari Guertin, a Flint resident whose child drank the lead-contaminated water, against city and state officials, including former Gov. Rick Snyder (R). A district court judge threw out her claims against the state officials but allowed her case against the city to move forward.

The defendants in the case are the city of Flint; former emergency managers Darnell Earley and Gerald Ambrose; and Howard Croft, the former director of Flint's public works department.

If you recall the Flint Water Crisis, the radial left blamed former Gov. Rick Snyder for the Flint water crisis. The mainstream media ignored all the people at the local level who caused the crisis and focused their media power and wraith on the governor.

This was a coordinated media narrative to destroy a Republican Governor.

The truth was and is this crisis was caused by local officials who denied the problem, lied, and water authority personnel who falsified test results; the falsified test results the governor was given and who used to set policy.

To their credit, only the ACLU did any investigative work and found the people directly responsible. Even so, their findings were completely ignored by the MSM who only blamed the governor who was taking action based on the false reports given to him by local leaders and lying water authority personnel.

This video explains what the mainstream media ignored. If you're seriously interested in how this water crisis was allowed to happen, watch this video:

Thirst for Truth: Who's to Blame for Flint's Water Crisis? (6 mins)

Here are three of the true culprits:

Howard Croft:

Gerald Ambrose

Darnell Early

Snyder may have been saved from a lawsuit, but he certainly bears some responsibility for what happened: he appointed the city’s emergency managers.

Here are the other local players who were falsifying reports among other things. All the time the media and the left were blaming the governor:

“Snyder may have been saved from a lawsuit, but he certainly bears some responsibility for what happened: he appointed the city’s emergency managers.”

It’s the city and the city’s voters fault that they needed ‘Managers’ in the first place!

They are bankrupt because nobody in the city pays their bills, just a city of worthless deadbeats.

The whole city needs to be razed and turned into a corn field!

He was given falsified reports on which he based his decisions.

NO! They’ll just migrate to other parts of Michigan. We don’t want any more deadbeats around here! Keep them in Flint.

“He was given falsified reports on which he based his decisions.”

I don’t know what you mean. Snyder received falsified reports that led him to appoint those particular city managers?

Evict them in the winter and they will go to Atlanta or Saint Louis!

Flint is in bad shape. A couple of years ago, I got off at Flint to gas up, and I’ve never seen worse roads in my life. Flint has been known as “the armpit of Michigan for a long time.”

You’re right that the emergency managers took over because Flint officials just made the city worse. I don’t know what the emergency managers did, or didn’t do that caused them to be included in the lawsuit(s), but I suppose their shortcomings or culpability, if any, will be shown as the suits proceed.

Did you watch the video? (see post 1)

Did you read the list of people involved in falsifying reports? (see post 4)

If nothing else, you and Michael Moore agree on who is responsible.

I did not watch the video. I didn’t even notice it was there, and I’m not interested at this time. Just got too much going on here. Thought maybe you could give me the key info, but that’s not your job.

Carry on, good citizen.
