While it was a 737, i do not know if it was a ‘max’.

But, either way, a 737 in flames is not the failure mode of the MCAS system in the news.

I read a report that it was a Boeing 737-8. The generation before the MAX. Not effected by the MCAS fiasco.

Besides, falling from the sky on fire was not the MCAS crash profile.

Not a Max. Iranians are not giving up the “Black Box”, which indicates to me that they probably shot it down (probably from their anti-aircraft missile systems).
