A spectacular drone display in Shanghai to mark the start of the new year did not actually happen at New Year, it has emerged.
The display of thousands of drones flying in formation over the city was widely covered by global media.
But people who were at the event on New Year's Eve have said they saw nothing.
The company behind the display has confirmed to the BBC that the footage broadcast around the world was actually from a practice run on 28 December.

That’s like doing a parade days before Thanksgiving, while not actually doing anything on Thanksgiving. These organizers are morons. Does Xi Jinping review the troops before Commie Day while skipping Commie Day itself?

So nobody in Shanghai saw anything? What a letdown.
Its a great city and is a premier tourist attraction. You would think they would have organized it better. Oh well.
Maybe because it was much harder to set up and prepare for than they want to let on and they didn’t want to take the chance of any glitches happening live.
Wouldn’t be a shock.
Or maybe it was just CGI propaganda.
President Trump used a similar tactic ladt night as the Iranians didn’t see them either..
