Get real...Ya walk right by every bit of it and your only response was “firearms training”. Anyone can read back. You clearly have no clue.

in fact during that training they teach cops how to act in regards to crime when they’re off duty.....

Show me factual examples of this ‘Training’.

You asked... And even when shown in #17 and 19 ya still don't believe it and or just chose to ignore it. Get lost.

And likely “dropped” a bag of drugs and a throw down pistol.

Dis she fail her required psych eval, but was hired anyway?

According to Dr. Clarissa Cole fully half the people she evaluated and failed were hired anyway.

Dr. Cole: It’s not like the bar is so darned high that no one could pass, it’s nothing LIKE that, this test is just to find out is this person basically psychologically stable, are they non-sadistic, do they not have criminal or punishing tendencies or narcissistic tendencies themselves. Basically you’re trying to weed out anybody that has a like God complex; I’m judge, jury, and executioner. You want to get those people out of there. You’re trying to get people out of there that are just psychiatrically so unstable that they can’t control their emotions so, maybe some sort of bipolar thing going on or somebody that absolutely clearly has a personality disorder, like narcissistic personality disorder, antisocial personality disorder, borderline personality disorder. They are not

Eric Olsen: Checks and balances. Checks and balances to protect the general public from somebody that would not do well in that position.

Dr. Cole: And I was very, yeah, I was extremely, forgiving on these psychological tests even when somebody would sort of hit sort of some of those marks on the tests we would give, I would ask in interviews I would ask a ton of questions just to be very, very sure that this person was indeed failing the psychological exam, and I did not fail that many people, but the people I failed, please believe me that it was for extremely good reasons, extremely good reasons, and half of them became cops anyway.

If she failed her psych eval and the city of Dallas hired her in spite of that, they should be at a minimum civilly liable.

And in my not so humble opinion, the hiring manager who violated policy and therefore lost the protection of sovereign immunity should be personally sued and made a horrible example for any hiring manager willing to give a known sociopath a badge, a gun, and dominion over his or her fellows...

You’re right.

It’s also relevant that she was in uniform, and her weapon was probably provided to her by the city.

I hope they appeal this. It insulates politicians from accountability.

The officer felt threatened, good enough for most departments.

Hell yes the city should be sued, and the police pension fund, and the personal assets of every superior officer and whoever decided to hire this idiot. And of course, she should spend the rest of her life is gen pop.

Did she use a gun provided by or license by the city?

That would be my question. If it was her duty weapon, and was owned by the city, they have some liability.

That's the same line of incredibly dangerous thinking that communists like to use, thinking of suing firearm manufacturers for any deaths.

How does the city have any more liability if she used the firearm that was issued to her?

Screening. You can’t give a gun to a lunatic and then expect not to be held responsible.

Are parents held responsible when an otherwise normal teenager decides to take the firearm and use it in a bad manner? How about other police that shoot and kill someone in a bad shoot? Are those cities responsible because a firearm was used?

This is an extremely dangerous road to go down. It's like suing car manufacturers for someone driving drunk and killing someone.
