Going back to the Clinton impeachment, we've seen the formation of two distinct standards for applying the law - one applied to the left, the other applied to conservatives. Leftists often walk free for the same - or worse - crimes for which conservatives receive months or even years in jail.
To cite one recent example, there is the case of the Iowa man who received sixteen years in prison for stealing and burning an LGBTQ flag that was displayed by a church. Not long before that, anti-ICE activists weren't even arrested for tearing down and burning an American flag at an ice facility.
