The Nation’s Gun Show is in Chantilly, Virginia this weekend. This is a very large show and, I suspect, the state police will be out in force. If you feel like messing with any liberal neighbors, find a way to borrow their car to go to the show. I suspect that the Rats will be recording the license plates of all attendees for future targets for raids.

What you say is correct.

I was going to write more of a response, but have nothing to add.

There is no law yet.

They have bills announced that they will introduce in 2020 to the state legislature.

If passed (and the Dems control the legislature), the Democrat Governor will sign them into law. And the Dem AG will attempt to enforce them.

Until then, there is nothing for a court to act upon. Courts don’t issue injunctions to prevent enforcement of nonexistent laws.

Interesting theory..

It's not "theory"

Their statements while supporting gun control in 1968

"The NRA supported The National Firearms Act of 1934 which taxes and requires registration of such firearms as machine guns, sawed-off rifles and sawed-off shotguns. … NRA support of Federal gun legislation did not stop with the earlier Dodd bills. It currently backs several Senate and House bills which, through amendment, would put new teeth into the National and Federal Firearms Acts." —American Rifleman, March 1968,

They supported gun control from their beginning

NRA Joint Statement on Bumpstocks

In their own words:

Despite the fact that the Obama administration approved the sale of bump fire stocks on at least two occasions, the National Rifle Association is calling on the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) to immediately review whether these devices comply with federal law. The NRA believes that devices designed to allow semi-automatic rifles to function like fully-automatic rifles should be subject to additional regulations.

1934 Gun Control

"I do not believe in the general promiscuous toting of guns," then-NRA President Karl T. Frederick told members of the House Ways and Means Committee. "I think it should be sharply restricted and only under licenses."

Surprising only to those not paying attention

Right and meanwhile, the deep state is trying to figure out what Trump’s move will be.

On a fundamental level—since the beginning of Trump’s presidency—is the war between law and order and chaos.

Trump can end the Governor Blackface's threat to use the Virginia National Guard to enforce his anti-gun laws simply by calling Blackface and telling him that if he activates the Guard for any anti-2A/RKBA purposes he will call them all to federal active duty.

Then Trump can order them to stand down from the orders issued by Governor Blackface. Or he can let nature (and federal law) take its course because by simply pointing out that all servicemembers on active duty are forbidden by Posse Comitatus from engaging in any law enforcement role.

The clash in Virginia over gun control has reached a new level, with proponents of a gun “sanctuary” movement urging active resistance to Democratic proposals in Richmond...

Given that the Guvnah has threatened to use the National Guard on gun owners I wouldn't present this reaction as much of an escalation. These aren't laws yet, but you can bet the Dems will pass just as much as they think they can get away with at the moment and ratchet it down later. It's worked in California.

As a matter of course, there should be litigation. All we’re hearing about is the extra-judicial action, which is pretty fun, but not necessarily the only front on which this is being fought. I’ll bet the NRA has a case already pending.

The NRA is an issue advocacy enterprise and those at the top are focused on how they can scare you so they can profit as a “non-profit”. Sorry, but anyone who excuses the ridiculous excess of Wayne and Company has not been paying attention. I have even seen posters claiming that Wayne has a legitimate need for hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of wardrobe so he can adequately defend our rights. That is just sad. It is akin to saying he needs the membership to buy him a Rolls Royce so he can travel from New York to DC. The pretzels people have twisted themselves into defending him are just as indefensible to me as attending a church with a pastor who makes a million dollars, pays his wife half a million as an assistant, and keeps building a marble palace.

Actions speak louder than words.

SCOTUS has already addressed this and the 2nd Amendment will stand until the left can remake SCOTUS. Given the electoral college and electoral map it is not something that left wing activists can realistically defeat through a vote by the states to change the amendment (or the number of judges).

Here is a thought.... if you want to give money to support the 2A you should be donating to Trump! He is the most effective 2A defender available because he is appointing solid judges who will not be given over to activism. Give to the Federalist society who are working to vet and push forward these fantastic judicial nominees!

Either of these are a much more effective choice of your hard earned money to protect the 2A than the NRA. Give Trump a second term and he will place more people on SCOTUS.

The NRA will not tell you this but they endorse politicians who oppose these judicial nominations (aka democrats). Sorry Wayne, but that is dishonest. You can endorse anyone who says “they support the 2A”, but if they oppose judges who will uphold our God given rights they are being dishonest and their actions through endorsement ultimately erode our rights far more than checking a box on a questionnaire.

There is no longer any such animal as a blue dog democrat that we can trust with the 2A. Look at the Kavanaugh hearing for proof. Therefore, applying simple logic that looks are real consequences beyond a soundbite is not practiced by the NRA who has endorsed many democrats in the name of bi-partisanship (and more donors) who have harmed our rights through the stacking the judiciary with activist judges.

The courts are the most important guardian of our civil rights according to our constitution. There has NEVER been a more consequential President to preserving the 2A than Donald J. Trump. Period. His makeover of our judicial system will guarantee our rights for generations and he deserves your support far more than Wayne and company deserve a new suit or a bonus.

The NRA cannot admit that there is no longer bi-partisan support for the 2A, but I can see it clear as day. One party wants a judiciary to take away our rights and one party does not. When Wayne and company can admit this please ping me.... until then “never a dime.”

Just my .02 and flame away

Ironically, the NRA HQ is in Fairfax VA. No statement yet.

The State of Virginia’s government is a GEORGE SOROS EXPERIMENT to be soon tried on the ENTIRE COUNTRY if the people don’t STOP IT.

Partner, George Soros is one crazy left winged nut case and I do not doubt that he and his money is behind this lunacy.

Hopefully, we will all say there is just too many bureaucrats making decisions for us that are not in our best interests and their best interests.

“...Perhaps they should call themselves “The Resistance.”...”

Actually, it’s more like Americans versus democrats.

Those two words don’t belong anywhere near each other any more.
